'Should I be really doing this?' I muttered to myself.
"You cool?" Kalix asked beside me. He was the one to pick me up from the infirmary. Amalia gave us a go after the whole night of observation. My cold was almost gone, and I feel fine now.
"Yup," I replied, still deep in my thoughts. Kalix placed his arm on my shoulder. I absentmindedly nodded his way for no reason at all. I was thinking about the slap I've received from Luke yesterday.
"You sure, you're fine? We've never talked about what happened in Sterling Pack, but I know this is hard for you. He's here, you know," he babbled on. Of course, I know the person he was talking about.
"Thank you for not telling anyone about it. I want to do it myself," I stopped walking and turned to him.
Kalix gave me one of his rare smiles. It was not his usual mischievous smile but a real one.
