"We're set,"
It was already eight in the evening and we were enjoying the spring evening, well, Lauren and Dion. I've been unofficially named as a third wheel. I have to watch Dion become braver everyday as he tries to keep up with an energetic Lauren.
Everything was great last week. Now this finality changed all of it. I scrambled up, alerting Dion.
"When?" I picked my phone, ready to bolt out of the place to pack. Lauren remained unmoved on her seat.
Lauren decided to stay. She's a product of social services. Now an adult, often, she would just rent a room but got tired of it in the long run and now prefers to stay in the sleeping quarters in the HQ. Finding Dion, definitely settled her down. She might look nonchalant most of the time but from the three years closely working with her, I know she's over the moon. She finally has a family in Dion. I understand, fully, why she wanted to stay this time.
