I've been fidgeting nonstop. I might be a grown-up woman, but Alpha Cedric and Luna Eva could make me peed my pants if they wanted to. My parents were sweet, carefree darlings. They were a cool lot, not really a good disciplinarian. The people in front of me were different, though.
It sounded like I have a second set of parents, one pair was cool and forgiving. The other was kind, but strict. And now, I'm fidgeting in front of the latter pair. I'm ashamed of myself.
Alpha Cedric took residence on his chair, fingers interlocked on the shiny oak desk. Luna Eva took the lazy chair on my left side, eyes trained on my every move. It feels like I've been trapped, and got nowhere to escape.
"I'm waiting, Mavis," I grimaced at the Alpha's words. I don't even know if I could manage to lie my way around this one with their eyes attuned on me. Half-truths might pull through, but I'm sure they'll be suspicious. I don't want that, I think.
