Trix sat in front of her laptop staring at a blank page.
"Screw it," she finally said slamming the laptop shut and stuffing it in her bag. Mrs. Weller was going to have suck it cause Trix was never going to hand in that book report that she wanted. How could she though, Trix had barely done any school work since of late, it was like her brain went on a ása and left her body at home.
She sighed as she trudged down the stairs in baggy jeans, an oversized t-shirt and a pair of old converse. Trix was not the kind of girl that liked attention, she liked to go under the radar. She hurriedly grabbed an apple from the kitchen counter and ran out of the house at the sound of the bus.
"Bye, second mom," she yelled cheerfully at her very nosy neighbor. She climbed on to the bus and made her way to the back, avoiding all the extended feet in the walkway, accidentally stepping on a few.
"Oops, not sorry."
She sat and stuffed her earphones into her ears and started playing Candy Crush. The bus stopped a couple of times before they finally reached their destination, well Trix's. She sighed once more and lazily left the bus and went directly into the building. Easton High was like no other institution. This was the type of school that students attended to become a big shot lawyer in LA or a famous actress in Hollywood, it was the school.
Your thinking it, aren't you? Why was this slacker doing at a school like that. Well, it as all started when her mom met her dad, they had her and then they moved. Trix was so excited for that new adventure. Then after a few months, they started fighting and Trix, poor Trix just stop talking, stop interacting with people and build a brick wall around herself. Now she mostly spends her days watching Netflix movies and TV shows.
Trix walked into her first class of the day and sat directly at the back.
"Hey," a voice said from beside her. She slowly turned and blinked at the person clearly disinterested.
"I'm Alec," the guy with to much product in his hair offered extending his hand. Trix glanced at his extended arm then turned away from him.
"Ok then," he said then took a deep breath.
Thankfully and not so thankfully for Trix, the teacher, Mrs Weller walked in.
"Trixiana Williams, where's my book review," she asked getting straight to the point.
"My cat slept on it," Trix replied knowing Mrs. Weller was allergic to cats. From the corner of her eyes she saw Alec struggling to contain his laughter.
Mrs. Weller scowled at Trix.
She smiled sardonically in return.
"Principal's office, now," Mrs Weller yelled.
Trix shrugged as she gathered her things and left the room. This was just another day in Mr. Thorn office. Trix expertly made her way to the principal's office. As she walked in she saw resident good girl and bad boy sitting next to each.
'Yay'
She rolled her eyes at the obvious cliche. She sat across from them and continued to listen to her music.
A few minutes past and Trix was about to fall asleep. Suddenly she felt a nudge. She jumped up nearly falling off her seat and kicking the person simultaneously. She widened her eyes and turned to find who touched her.
Her clear eyes met the magnificently bright blue ones of her offender.
"What the fudge," she said angrily, shifting her position.
"Me, what the fudge, you, what the fudge. You kicked me," Mr. Bad boy yelled gesturing to his torso.
Trix rolled her eyes.
"What do you want," she asked annoyed.
"Can you take a picture for us," a soft voice asked.
"Sweetheart have you never heard of a selfie before," Trix retorted rudely.
A gruff sound came from Mr. Bad boy, which sound like a groan and a growl or it may have just been a growl.
Trix snickered at the level of clićhe coming off of the guy.
The good girl, Amberly hand Trix a camera. She took it gingerly.
"Huh, well won't you look at that smart mouth over here doesn't know how to use a camera," the a-hole/ bad boy, Colson commented with a smirk on her face.
Trix stared at the camera and the suddenly brought it close to her face and took a picture.
"Candid!"
The look on Colson's face was priceless. But his eyes...they were a different situation.
Trix furrowed her brows as she stared at the picture. Colson's eyes were glowing. Half of his face was obscured by the light. Trix's lips parted but before a word could leave her lips. The principal suddenly opened the door to his office and Mrs. Weller appeared in the doorway. Oh, and Colson looked as he was about to blow up
'Talk about triple threat.'
"Mrs. Williams, we meet again, for this week," Mr. Thorn said dryly.
He turned his droopy eyes towards the big cliche and a little life sparked in his life.
"What are two still doing here, I said you both could leave," he said a softness to his voice.
The couple Rose to their feet and Colson grabbed the camera, rather roughly from Trix, then left hand in hand with Amberly. As they past Mrs. Weller, she literally melted, releasing a longing sigh as she stared after them.
"Are freaking kidding me," Trix said staring at the two adults dumbfoundedly.
As the words left her lips their heads snapped towards her and their expressions changed.
"You, young lady are walking on thin ice," Mrs. Welled said standing beside Mr. Thorn.
"I'm recommending expulsion this time, sir," she stated turning to the principal.
"What! You can't do that," Trix interjected.
Well sharpened daggers pinned her in her seat and her lips closed.
"She's right, we can't expell her," Mr. Thorn whispered to Mrs. Weller.
"Why?"
"Her parents are major benefactors."
"Oh."
"What did she do?"
"It's was what she didn't," Mrs Weller whispered back.
"Well, why don't you just give her something else to do with the threat of expulsion," the principal suggested proudly.
Mrs. Weller nodded her head comically.
"Ok, Miss. Williams, you have one more chance fail and your future has ended before it has even began."
Feel free to tell me what you think.....
Until next time!!!
