"I'm telling you, Tracy," I started as we walked towards the bar. "Its best if we stick together. Don't go running off again. I don't want to be left alone when I didn't even want to be out ahaing."
"I can't make you any promises!" She laughs as she takes my arm in hers. "I'm kidding!" She tells me aa I glare at her. "You can't keep hiding in the apartment, Stevie. It's not healthy. It has been months."
It hasn't been months, I think to my self. "I came out with you two weeks ago. That's when you left me alone at the bar while you went and hooked up with Holly." I remind her. "Plus, I came out with you right after Drake left me, and you again you abandoned me for a one night stand."
"You're right." Holly admits. "I'm sorry. But, this time, I hope you find someone. Drake was never good enough for you."
"So everyone keeps telling me." I murmur.
As we step into the bar, I immediately smell the sweat and alchohol. My stomach churns. I never have liked the smell of bars, or clubs. I never enjoy drinking either. I have decided that tonight, I will drink until I cannot stand.
I look around and I notice Holly and Tracy lock eyes. Tracy drags me to her new fling. I roll my eyes. "I will go get us some drinks." I say as I unlink our arms and start to walk away.
"3 shots of Patron and 2 Cosmo's and 1 Budweiser please." I order as I pull out my card to pay. I look to my left and I see someone stare at me. I try to ignore him, but I feel his eyes burn into me. After paying I take all three shots. I take the drinks and begin to wall back to Tracy when I hear a voice.
"Need help with those?" He asks me.
"No, I can handle this," I say. "Surprisingly, I know how to carry a tray." I continue to walk away.
"I think you could've said no without the use of sarcasm."
"Probably, but then you would've wanted to continue to talk, which I do not. Goodbye now." I said as I kept walking.
As I reach our table, Holly asks who the sexy man is, I relay the brief conversation. "You should go talk to him." Holly says.
"Why would I do that? I came out to visit with you and Tracy not to hook up with someone." I tell them. But, they weren't paying attention to me. I see them looking at the man. i look over my shoulder and look at him. He is kind of cute. He is tall, definitely over 6 feet. He has blonde hair, he looks fit. His bright blue eyes stand out against his pale skin.
When he sees me looking at him he starts to walk over. "Hello." He says to the group.
In unison Holly and Tracy say "Hey."
"My name is Ivan. What's your name?" He ignores them, only looking to me. When I didn't answer him he cleared his throat.
I finished my beer. Now feeling a little frisky and drunk. I looked him in the eyes for the first time. I feel some kind of way about him. I can't tell if it's attraction or fear. I introduce us all pointing to indicate who is who. "I'm Stevie, this is my friend Tracy and her girlfriend Holly."
"Nice to meet you all." Ivan says. Then grabs my hand and tries to pull me to dance floor. "Dance with me." He demands.
"No. I don't dance." I try and get my arm back but he's too strong and I can't get loose. "Let me go."
"Just one dance. That's all. Or your number and you'll be free." He doesn't seem to be joking.
"Fine. One dance." I give in not wanting to give him my number.
He starts leading us to the floor. "First I'll get us a drink. I'll meet you out there." He says then walks away.
When he brings us our drinks, he hands me mine and we both drink them down in one gulp. As we dance he gets very handy grabbing my ass. I let it go. Once the song is over, I start to walk away. Ivan grabs my arm again. He plants a kiss on my lips.
"What the hell!" I ask him.
"I just wanted to see what it was like. Quite enjoyable. If you want more later, I'll be at the bar." He says then leaves.
I head to the restroom before heading to my table. I feel wobbly and foggy. It's probably just from all the drinking.
