"WHERE ARE THEY?!" the king's voice boomed and reverberated throughout the entire palace as soon as Hera stepped through her portal.
She had excused herself to her study a few minutes ago as soon as the other women arrived at the palace by Zeus' behest. It was a solid excuse because it would be perfectly reasonable for the queen to not want to be in the same room as her husband's consorts.
She straightened herself up and walked down to the throne room where all this commotion was happening.
Slightly startled she bumped right into Athena who was rushing in the direction of the armoury and had a strong grip of the sword in her hand. "Oh, there you are my queen. Where have you been? Father has requested your presence in the throne room." Ever the dutiful soldier, Hera rolled her eyes but the lie rolled easily out of her mouth as she put on her regal expression.
