*In Umbra*
As soon as Aphrodite had entered Nyx's castle she could smell him, his scent was all over the place and she even ignored the older goddess' words when she told her she would go find Ares and set off on her own to locate him. Since they had shared their bond many years ago, the closer Aphrodite got to him the more she could feel her own heart getting heavier and heavier as it shouldered the burdens he must have been keeping to himself while he has been in hiding.
She burst into a room and it was empty but she knew he was there concealing himself among the shadows. She stood in the centre of the room and called out to him in her alluring whisper the way she always would when they would run off to have a secret little rendevous at the beginning of their relationship. Closing her pink eyes she let the feeling of him appearing behind her and encasing her in his arm settle as she sighed contently.
