Xanthippeia woke up this morning excited to spend a weekend away with her friends and just have carefree, parent-free fun.
It had not been as easy as Carey made it seem when she tried to guilt-trip her parental unit into letting her take the whole weekend off in the woods. Naturally, it was fear that she would run away or 'wander off' again if they were not there supervising her and Xan completely understood. But a few well-placed pathetic words and well-rehearsed tears later and she was up and packing her tote bag for the weekend.
