His heart was thundering in his chest as he hammered down the entrance of the cave. It cracked open with a loud bang and he wasted no time ducking inside and raising his hands in the air to let the debris fall and close the entrance. He took off without a second thought and quickly managed to find a place to lay low. He could feel his presence in the world and he never thought he would follow him here, it seemed like something his father would send the royal mercenaries after him.
He cursed himself and cursed his sister for coming after him and most importantly he cursed his father. It was not as if Athena was going to die, she would be in immense pain for a while but she would even to his displeasure survive in the end. And now Ares had to be on the run because there was no way he was going voluntarily turn himself over to Zeus to be punished for hurting his favourite child.
