Leodocus stood in the corner of the room trying his best to calm his nerves as he looked on as the ritual began. Xanthippeia was laying perfectly still and he was proud of her, she seemed relaxed and wasn't antsy which would have made this even more difficult. Did he feel worried and slighted with her? Of course, the plan had been for them to do this together and he would've been there to help guide her through every step of the way. But she choose someone else and he felt disappointed in her lack of faith but now the only thing he could do was watch and hope nothing went wrong.
