*In the Underworld*
There was slow and rich music that could be heard throughout most corners of the palace, a huge warm fire was burning in the hall and delighted giggles could be heard bouncing off the walls as small groans of pain followed by more laughter.
Living in the underworld would seem like a punishment for anyone and for Persephone it had been for many years. She was the goddess of spring and she came from the goddess of the harvest. Her whole existence was about bringing forth life, interacting with alive and breathing things. So being forced to live here where death was all around her, feeling her soul decaying with each moment he looked at her, tried to touch her and tried and failed to make her happy was a nightmare. But like a measurable amount of arranged marriages somehow Hades and Persephone seemed to work it out and now he was truly her other half.
