"Hmm" A woman wakes up slowly. She tries to take notice of her surroundings. She is dazzled by Light just above her head, which illuminates her area. She notices that she is sitting on a chair in a basement.

She tries to get up but can't because she's tied to the chair.

"Fuu, Fuu, fuu." She starts having a panic attack. She breathes rapidly without really bringing air into her lungs.

"Tac Tac Tac" She hears footsteps approaching her and sees a man coming out of the Darkness.

"Jolie, my sweet, you have set a trap for me. It is legitimate for me to take revenge, now let's have fun," he said, approaching a table next to it. On the table is a hammer, knives, chains, pitchforks...

"No, please, no, please, please! I'll tell you anything you want" The woman shakes her head violently, tears streaming down her face dragging her makeup with them.

"Now, don't be a killjoy. You're going to enjoy having fun with me. Just give me time to think about what games we're going to start with." said the man with a huge smile.

The man looks at the various instruments on the table and flies over them with his hands. She continues to cry, but she tries to make as little noise as possible not to irritate her executioner. Each time his torturer's hands hover over a tool, a sob escapes his lips.

The man ends up setting his sights on a small mechanism that looks like a dragon's mouth.

He takes the machine and turns to his prisoner. He steps in front of her and raises her hand a little so she can see what he's holding.

"We'll start with this little tool. It doesn't look imposing, but I know that it can hurt a lot. So you see, this little gem is very easy to use."

"What you see is a dragon's mouth. I press the little clip at the end of the mouth." The man does what he says to illustrate his word. In doing so, the mouth opens, revealing sharp excrement teeth.

"Then I place my mouth on your finger and smack."

"CLACK" a metallic noise comes out of the mouth when the metal of the jaw collides when the man removes the pressure on the clip.

"You lose a knuckle. I repeat this on your other knuckle and revel in your cries."

The woman shakes her head violently. "Please no! Why are you doing this to me! Please! Please!"

She continues to beg for mercy, but this only increases her captor's desire, making him want to torture her even more to hear her screams.

The man takes his right hand. Then he holds his ring finger.

He opens the dragon's mouth and places it on his victim's first knuckle.

"We're going to play a game, I'm going to ask you questions, and with each wrong answer, I'm going to destroy one of your knuckles. Are you okay?" says the man.

Seeing a glimmer of hope, the woman nodded vigorously with a bright glint in her eyes.

"First question: Who are you?" he asks.

"My name is Dhira. I am a peasant woman who works for the Delta de Toussaint winemaker." replies the woman.

"Well, can I know why these men were chasing you?" asks the man.

"Of course, lord, there has been a crime in the winemaker, and the noble thinks I am the culprit, so he has sent his men to capture and kill me." weakly replies the woman.

The man looks at Dhira. "I do not think so."

The man releases the tie, causing the jaw to slam into Sophie's knuckle, tearing it apart causing Dhira to feel extreme pain. The latter let out a shrill scream to release all the pain she feels.

Macabre laughter is heard from the basement, which covers Dhira's cry. Although he doesn't need it as the room is magically soundproofed, no sound can come out.

"I rest my question: WHY did these men want to kill you?" asks the man again.

"Please release me. I answered your question. They wanted to capture me for the vineyard lord of Delta.

"Good, good again." The man tears the rest of Dhira's right ring finger phalanges like this. He was leaving the latter in a state of tears and pain and constant crying.

After tearing the knuckles from Dhira's right ring finger, the man lays the dragon's mouth on the table. He then takes two yellow rune stones and hooks them into Sophie's hands. He then looks at Dhira.

"Well, since you don't want to answer that question, let's move on to the next one.

Dhira shakes her head, sobbing silently.

"Third question: Who do you work for?"

"I work for Monsieur Delta, the nobleman who owns the Delta vineyard west of Toussaint," answers Dhira.

The man channels his magic into the runestones. An electric current comes out of them and enters Dhira's wrists.

It travels through its body, taking the path that blood uses. So it runs through every vein in her body.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Dhira lets out a mournful howl. The man stops channeling his magic.

"Are you going to answer my question? Just answer my questions, and you won't suffer." The man whispers in Dhira's ear.

The man continues torturing Dhira with the stones for a few minutes while asking him questions.

"Okay, Dhira, we'll stop for today because otherwise, you'll die." declares the man taking back the stones and leaving the room, leaving Dhira bruised.

The fear of the dark is one of man's oldest fears and the fear of the unknown. The black, the Darkness frightens humanity, but it immunizes some people. Throughout his history, man has been traumatized by Darkness. Few are those who, on the contrary, love Darkness, and I am one of his rare men. However, there is another fear that man has developed which is paradoxical. This fear is the fear of Light. We don't know when this fear began to appear in humans, but it does exist. This fear is due to several things, such as the appearance of diseases like the Children of the Moon, but it mainly comes from the widespread belief that when a man dies, he sees an ample white light.

Thinking about the fears of men, I arrived in front of a black armored door.

I reach out my hand and grab the handle. I press the latter and pull the door towards me. I have only opened the door a crack when a white light beam dazzles me. I put my free hand in front of my eyes and step into the white Light.

I'm in complete Darkness. I'm floating in the void with nothing around me, in absolute Darkness. I am so happy in this Darkness. I don't have many dreams in my life, but to be in this void forever is my dearest dream. So do nothing with my life and just bask in this void that gives me a sense of tranquility.

I hear a muffled sound that comes from afar in the void in my happiness.

But, unfortunately, my wish is not possible. The noise gets louder and louder as it travels towards my position. I see the sound getting closer and closer. I know the destruction it causes in its path. It tears through the void in its wake and leaves behind only a powerful white light.

How much I hate this Light, this Light is the fruit of the will of God, which deprives me of my Darkness.

The sound ends its journey and arrives at my side, tearing the emptiness that surrounds me for the last time. Then, he flees, leaving me in the hands of the Light, which violates my dream once again.

I wake up, overwhelmed by a powerful white light coming from the ceiling. I wake up for the umpteenth time in this room, empty, white, too white. The room resembles the isolation room found in mental asylums. The walls and the ceiling are padded so that I cannot hurt myself. I can't see anything but white. Even my straitjacket is white. I lost track of time. Three days. Three weeks. 2 months. One year. I don't know how long I've been here in this cursed room. I hope this ends. Soon. To return to my Paradise, to the Darkness of Hell.

"CLICK" The thump sounds again, and the wall in front of me has a narrow opening. The wall, or rather the door, opens outwards, and my executioner appears.

"Dhira, you don't have to look at me with that look. I only question you and torture you when you lie," he said.

"Hmmm, hmmm," Dhira tries to speak, but her voice is silenced due to the gag blocking her mouth. Nevertheless, she stares at him with a look filled with hate.

"I'm here to set you free."

For the first time in a long, long time, Sophie shows something other than anger, hatred, or pain on her face. She shows joy.

Darkness and Light, two sides of the same coin, understood in every living being, we all have a part of Light and Darkness deep within us. But, unfortunately, these are not equal for everyone. For some, the Light is excellent and their Darkness weak, while for others, it is quite the opposite. These people do not have an ounce of Light in them.

'Why am I holding this monologue? Why am I doing this? Why am I here? Why is he there? Why does it exist? Why do I exist? Why am I still alive? Why? Why?... For….P….'

Darkness, comfort, demons, vampires, monsters, and other demonic creatures. Another species can be part of Darkness as of Light. This species is the human species. Men can be in symbiosis with Darkness, like the young woman standing in its middle.

This woman is Dhira, prisoner, martyr, and worshiper of Darkness.

She has been in absolute Darkness for a long, long time. So long…

'Ahhh, Darkness, sweet Darkness, how I love you, how beautiful you are. I love you. I love you….'

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
'AHHH, why! Why am I here! In this Darkness. I hate Light and Darkness! I hate this world! I hate EVERYTHING!'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~

"Okay, we've wasted enough time. Get her talking." says a voice from nowhere.

"Yes, master," the man replies solemnly.

"Last attempt to kill assassins came to nothing. All of our attempts were unsuccessful. At most, we managed to injure the targeted assassins."

"We have also lost contact with our men from Toussaint. We hope they are dead, but I believe the League has captured them. They must be being interrogated at their where we speak."

"These people don't know anything. They don't have any real information about us other than the name of our band."

"I propose that we calm down the attacks and act in the shadows."

"I agree. We must prepare our forces first before attacking. The League is one if not the strongest force in the Kingdoms."

"If no one has anything to say, I adjourn the meeting."

"Believe in the eternal flame, belief in the templar."
