Chapter 2 - I saw her

I saw her there, and as soon as I did, I noticed her cherry colored lips, her dark hair and her eyes. Those, her hair glanced in the rain and her round, bright eyes reflected the light. It was as if an angel was standing right before me.

My angel wore light blue jeans, white sweater with a light coat on top. Regardless of the situation she was in, she remained looking elegant.

She is looking at me.

I felt a gaze from behind and turned around. Then I saw Adrienne standing in the middle of the street. Her eyes and face were covered by her silky hair but despite that, I could easily recognize her. I knew it was her the second I turned around and glanced at her. Then, I ran up to her as soon as I saw her. Her clothes were drenched from the rain, she was shivering. My heart was breaking. She wore a long face and her cheeks were rosy. I found myself rushing over to her blindly.

I got close, getting closer now - soon in front of her, but what should I do? At that moment, I had only one thing in mind and my body reacted on its own. I removed her hair gently and held the umbrella on top the both of us.

She looked up to me and it was as if she was a small puppy with pleading eyes, staring at me. I couldn't move no more, that was all I could see. I held her hair to the side and her face was right before mine.

"Why are you wearing such light clothes without bringing an umbrella" I asked. But she continued to stare at me silently without replying to my question. And I asked again: "hey" he sounded appealing now. But she wouldn't answer.

Could she be mad at me? We haven't seen each other in some time, could it be that..? I don't want to fight with her, she can merely get it her way but why is she not saying anything?

"Why did he notice me this time of all times?" she muttered to herself helplessly. She was too shy to look him back in the eye and too focused on herself to hear what he had to say. What she did not notice, is that Zachary felt anxious.

He looked at her, and you could see the tension from his eyes. He let go of her hair and wiped some sweat off of his forehead. He looked down to his feet and dropped the umbrella on the ground.

Adrienne snapped. She felt uneasy about him: "Hey, hey! Zachary, look at me" she stretched her hand and touched him softly. Quickly afterwards she bent down and picked the umbrella up from the ground. She took a hold of his hand and rushed to the close bus-stop to take shelter. "Zachary" she calls his name silently. "You feeling any better?"
