Somewhere in the void, a young man is floating. Yes, just floating....
[ How long has It been?.... ]
Yes, our great sage has been floating here for quite a while now. And he is getting kinda restless.
[ Don't tell me this is the afterlife.]
The sage, Hiroto is slowing floating around while having countless thoughts.
[ Am I going to just float here forever? Come on, what have I done to deserve this. I sacrificed myself to save the hero and I'm not going to heaven? Hell nah.... ]
As the though just keep getting wilder and wilder, a faint glow of light started to appear. Hiroto turned his head to look at the light.
[ What is this? Is this the gateway to heaven? Finally! I need to go to the light!! ]
But he could not move an inch, since he's is a place that have no gravity. Hiroto started wriggling like a worm to place himself in the direction of the light. Then started to swim! I know this doesn't make any sense but it's the only thing that comes to my mind. But after what felt like an hour, Hiroto find himself hardly moved any closer.
[ I feel like an idiot..... ]
Then he heard a soft sigh emitting from the light. The next thing he knew, he felt his body pulled toward the light in a frightening speed.
" AH!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

When Hiroto came to his senses, he is now standing in a pure white space. He cautiously looked around to see where he is. But no matter which direction he looks, he only see pure white, stretching endless towards the horizon.
" Welcome to my realm, my child " suddenly a loud voice echo in the air.
Alarmed, hiroto quickly looked around. But there is nothing but the same whiteness. Then the voice spoked again.
"No need to be so cautious. I assure you that you are completely safe here. "
"Who are you?"
"Me? many had asked the same question." As the voice spoked, particles of lights started to appear around him and is merging into a large ball of light.
" I am known by many names! I am the one who created the universe, the reality, the organisms and even the very atom in your body."
Hiroto watched in awe, as the light ball became dimmer and starting to reveal the one who speaks.
" Rejoice and gaze upon the Creator of all! "
As the entity became clearer, Hiroto couldn't help but felt a sense of odd feeling. It feels like you're an ant standing in front of a large elephant. But why does the entity looked a little ...short?
The light finally cleared, revealing a creature with black and white fur that looked oddly like a cat?
" I am the God of creation, I do not have a name but you can call me [ONE]. "
But Hiroto remained silence. He is now looking at a cat like being about the size of a tiger. But the most weird of all is that the thing is standing on 2 feet, rasing one of it's paw....
There was an awkward silence and Hiroto looked down on this self proclaimed god of creation.
" That's quite rude of you. You know it's bad to judge others by their looks "
[ It can read my mind! ] Now Hiroto is a bit freaked out. It's not everyday you get to see a mind reading talking cat like creature calling itself a god in a white space of emptiness.
The cat creature sighed and said " Every single time. "
Then the cat creature appeared in front of Hiroto, floating in mid air while placing a paw on his head.
Suddenly Hiroto felt a shocking pain spreading in his head.
Hiroto never felt such pain in his life. Not even when he was forced to accept the large amount of knowledge that is forced inside him had made him yield. He couldn't even explain how that pain felt.
Then he saw it, the beginning of the universe, the galaxy, the cosmos, the worlds, the creation and also the destruction, the infinite chaos and the stars exploding.
After a short while the experience ended. Hiroto looked at the smiling cat, realizing just how powerful and ancient this being actually is.
" Do you understand now? "
Hiroto nodded, still staying silent.
" And you must know why I called you here? "
Hiroto nodded again, this time looking straight at the cat or [ONE].
"Why? Why did you choose me? If you need a guardian, isn't Alicia more suited? I mean, she did received your blessing. "
Yes, [ONE] summoned Hiroto to become his new guardian. A guardian is a specific job offered by [ONE]. A guardian's duty is to travel from multiverse to multiverse, world from world to prevent things that weren't supposed to happen from happening. [ONE] have already explained everything when Hiroto was receiving his 'knowledge'. And yes, Alicia is one of the few creations to be blessed by [ONE]. She is a hero after all.
"Well, let's just say I have been running out of options and you seemed quite capable. Further more you did sacrificed yourself by saving my chosen hero." [ONE] just smiled and continued.
"But the biggest reason I chose you is that it was my mistake that you ended up in this world."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I can't tell you right now, but you will know in time."
Hiroto didn't continue the topic. Because he know from the large amount of information that [ONE] sent him, [ONE] doesn't want to talk about it anymore.
"Now, let's talk about your payment shall we?"
"Payment?" Hiroto asked in confusion.
" Yes, I don't just let you work for free. After all, this is quite a challenging job."
But before Hiroto tried to speak [ONE] interrupted him.
"You don't need to tell me actually, I can tell what you want. My time is running short, so I will make this quick."
Hiroto just nodded.
"I can't grant your wish for going to your original world where you were known as Mizuno Hiroto."
"Why? You said that you knew what I want and that is what I wanted!! "
" It's because I know what you want is exactly the reason why I didn't do so, do I have to spit it out? "
Hiroto didn't answer.
" Good, then I will be sending you straight to the world you will be living in. You will be given an identity and don't worry, that world is just slightly different from your old one."
Hiroto just nodded. His wish was to be reborn in a normal world where he could live peacefully, waking up to a warm cup of coffee, walking through a beautiful park, eating all kinds of delicious food. Ever since he got summoned and is dragged into a war with the demon king, all he wanted was a peaceful and easy life.
" Don't worry, you will have your easy life. " Reading his mind again [ONE] spoke again.
" You just need to occasionally do some jobs for me, maybe a few times every month. I'll sent an assistance with you, he'll explain the rest.
Raising his furry paws, a large blue ripple appeared on the floor and without any warning, hiroto fell right through it.
After hiroto fell through, the ripple closed and the while space returned to the silence state it was.
Then the silence was broken again when a women's voice echoed through the air.
" You could've explained to him more patiently you know? "
" I'm already losing patience since the start of the conversation, he's just I didn't just threw him into a war world immediately. "
The mysterious women voice sighed softly.
" Yes, I was my fault he fist died but I already gave him another life as a great sage and yet he still ruined my script by saving Alicia and died in her place and you know how I hated when someone tries to tamper with my script. "
The women remained silence. She knew [ONE] always hated when things don't go according to his plans.
" Hmph, Alicia should've died there if he didn't interfere. So he wanted a quiet and peaceful life, I'll give him one alright! "
Then [ONE] disappeared into thin air as if he was never there.
After a short silence, the women sighed again.
" I do hope this one will survive a little longer than the last one.... "
