Her POV:
"Okay okay I get it, uncle! I am not a child, you know. I was doing jobs throughout my college, I know how it works, I'm sure it's not gonna be that different here in New York", I attempted at calming my uncle down and putting my dress pants on, both to no avail.
A big sigh and a few more words later, I was finally able to achieve success.
Honestly, consoling an uncle and putting tight dress pants on, in the morning when you're already late for an interview, both at the same time can prove to be really challenging.
I ran out of my new apartment here; only carrying my essentials for the day.
I really hope to get a job here at Zoldyck Enterprises. It'll not only be a boost in my beginning career but also solve alot of the current problems in my life.
Catching a subway to Manhattan I walked the remaining way to the huge building I'm supposed to be interviewed in.
Watching the huge glass building got me so mesmerized I found myself hoping and wishing to be coming here every day for work. Especially since my previous work place wasn't exactly very classy. Not that I'm being ungrateful, the weekly register gave me support when I was still studying journalism back in my home town.
The nice girl at the main reception greeted me with a very professionally repeated line I'm sure she's said a thousand times. I followed her instructions and took the elevator to the 75th floor. When i said Huge, i wasn't kidding.
Okay, so everyone who goes for an interview believes they are the one for the job but when they get there, they find the scene to be entirely opposite. And believe me I'm no exception. The sheer amount of people here for the same job as me got me even more nervous.
Taking a deep breath I took a seat and waited for my turn. Fortunately I wasn't as late as I thought. Seemingly they had no proper system for the interviews; they appear to be calling anybody who was sitting closest to the main office. And it kinda looked a little chaotic here,
Waiting, I realized the women population to be way larger than the male interviewees. And most of them were blondes and very leggy.
Did I miss the memo? Did they only ask for blondes who look like friggin models, as applicants? If so, I'm in trouble because I'm neither blonde nor tall for that matter.
A few girls went in and all came out with a happy face. I heard a few of them say the interview was being conducted by Mr. Zoldyck himself, today. Apparently it's uncommon for him to even be present in this building all the time, since he has many different businesses and alot more buildings with his name on top, let alone to be taking the interviews himself.
I don't know whether to be worried about the news or be relaxed. However if the dreamy expressions or the hot blushes of every other girl coming out of that office tells me anything, it's that at least he's not a rude assh**le.
Oh man! was I wrong…
