Alex focused on their with everything he has. They were put through hell and they wished to return back to their peaceful lives.
The training was proving too much for all of them. With normal mortal bodies. They had to train at the level of a peak human everyday.
It broke their bodies and rebuilt them again and again to make sure that they will be able to perform at their best even if they lose their powers.
Tina's training was the most harsh but she withstood it. He trained her in espionage, deduction, anatomy, lock picking of any kind, escape technique, assassination and everything that would make her a literal weapon in combat.
Their first six months consisted of Martial Arts and various other things to improve their reaction and hand eye coordination.
They weren't given any mercy. Alex would literally break their bones and mend them together to enhance their pain tolerance and instil the sense of combat in them.
But this was still mild. He was teaching them and it wasn't him breaking their bones but each other.
They practiced against each other after every session to see their progress and see how they are coming along.
"Finally, it is over". Kara lamented and and sat down on the ground like a dead dog.
The others weren't much better except Diana. This training was also very hard for them.
"This is over but you have something else coming up". Alex smiled dangerously with a glint in his eyes and clapped his hands.
"At least give us a day off. We just finished this phase of training". Shiryalla complained. She could see the improvement in her but they had a life as well.
"Let me think". Alex put a hand on his chin and thought about it.
Everyone's faces lit up with hope when they heard his words.
"No". Alex said straightforwardly with a playful smirk and snapped his fingers before they could protest.
All of them appeared in a big forest and looked around lamenting at this. They were back here again.
"You guys will be again here in survival but for six months now to strengthen your will and vigilance.
This time, it won't be as simple as just letting you go into the wilderness.
I will be sending some things your way in batches. They can attack silently at any time of the day and you have to be alert at all times.
Your progress of shelter, food and etc will be reset every month and you will be teleported to a different environment. So you will have to start all over again. This will last for six months and then we'll move on". Alex finished and vanished from the place like a mirage.
He was going to Tina and see her progress in using the Martial Arts that he had taught her.
He silently appeared in the room and saw her getting out of the bindings that he had put her into and using the techniques to get out of the room.
Afterwards, she had combat with some robots that he had designed and took them down with a lot of effort from her part.
She was bruised and unable to stand by the end of the session. She even had some broken bones and bleeding knuckles.
"Nicely done, you are not as wimpy as before". Alex clapped his hands and congratulated her while using his powers to fix her body.
Like this, their training continued with broken bones and bleeding everywhere.
Through this training, they formed a sense of camaraderie and could connect well with each other even without words.
The second phase taught them how to stay vigilant at all times without missing a hint. It trained their perception of surroundings and taught them how to use all their senses effectively.
After the second phase of training. The air around them had changed and they could intercept most attacks at a moment's notice.
As long as their opponent wasn't a master of deceit and trickery. They could see through most sneak attacks.
"Now the third phase of your training". Alex said to himself and snapped his fingers.
All of them appeared in front of him from whatever they were doing.
"This puts an end to your second phase of training and also puts us at a year of your training.
You guys have grown much better than before. Your forms are better and not sloppy anymore". Alex complimented and it put a smile on everyone's face.
"Next will be the harder training". Alex gave them a feral grin when he talked about this.
"You will be fighting me individually every day. I won't be keeping my hand.
That means, you will die in this course of the training but worry not.
I can resurrect you from the dead. Good right". Alex smiled more widely like he couldn't harm a fly.
All of their faces paled from fright and they started trembling a bit. Even their enhanced willpower couldn't stand this.
This was death that they were talking about. They didn't even know, how many times they will experience it.
"W-what?" Teri stuttered and backed off with everyone.
"Now let's begin and don't worry, you won't feel much because of your death. I will make sure of it". Alex said with a smile and snapped his fingers again.
That snap rang into the depths of their minds like the decree of hell and all of them were gone.
All fo them appeared inside a Dojo. It was a typical dojo and every one of them were isolated from each other and couldn't move.
"First is Tina". Alex said and Tina appeared in front of him.
He was going to start with easier combat but will strengthen it over time in the course of this training.
Everyone looked at the two of them attentively and paid rapt attention to not miss anything.
Only this way, can they survive longer in his hands and maybe able to not die.
They already knew that winning was impossible and even coming out intact maybe a tall order.
The only thing they can do is make sure that they die less and not have to feel that sensation ever.
