The whole Justice League got into a tense atmosphere as it is not daily that you get a foe that can Rival Superman and there is not much they know about it.
"How long will it take?" Superman asked as he folded his arms in front of his chest while sitting on the head seat.
"He will be here any minute". Green Lantern said as he stood up to prepare.
Suddenly the whole room stopped and the time froze for everyone.
Flash quickly sped up as he tried to take the control back on his body but it would take him a couple of seconds.
Superman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Wonder Woman's eyes moved as they saw the intruder.
Batman already had his hand on his utility belt while BatGirl, Mera and Hawkgirl were frozen with no chance of retaliation.
The being had a jester mask on his face with eye socket having the spades symbol and the other having the Diamonds.
He walked forward unhurriedly like he owned the place. His steps were leisurely and free like he had no care in the world.
He stepped closer to the head seat as he picked Superman up by the cape like a chicken and threw him to the ground.
After taking out a handkerchief, he cleaned the seat and the table of that part and nodded with satisfaction.
After taking a cursory glance at the rest of them. He nodded and sat down in the seat lazily.
Just then the effect wore off and everyone got freed but they couldn't arouse the urge to fight the guy like they had no will to fight.
"Hello there My dear Ladies(except one) and Gentlemen. It's really nice to make your acquaintance". The being said as his voice sounded really erratic but the enthusiasm couldn't be concealed.
"Who are you?" Superman asked as he got up from the ground and glared at him.
"Oh you know me really well". He said with a laugh like he was having a lot of fun.
Before he could continue with his intended monologue and fun. All the girls on the scene pounced at him except Hawgirl.
"You're finally back". They said in unison.
"What the hell?" Alex exclaimed as he was very surprised.
"Hehe, you can't hide from us". Barbara said as she smiled.
"Haaaa, well, I am back". Alex sighed as he smiled and removed the mask on his face.
"So much for a nice show". He lamented as he smiled helplessly.
"So how did you know?" He asked while looking at them.
"Was just a suspicion, you often do stuff like this". Zatanna said while shrugging her shoulders.
"I could tell from the personality behind the mask". Mera said while smiling.
"I smelled your scent". Diana said while looking at him with a smile.
"What are you a Dog?" Alex couldn't help retorting to her.
"I can never mistake you". Barbara said confidently while tilting her head up.
"Okay, I lose". Alex put his hands up in resignation.
"I'm glad you're back". Barbara hugged again tightly as she said in his ear.
"I'm glad to be back". He patted her head with a smile.
All of them chatted happily. The girls were really happy that Alex was finally back after two years of absence.
"It's good that you are back". Batman stood up as he patted Alex's shoulder and said with a small smile that quickly vanished.
"Yeah". Alex smiled back as he nodded his head.
"But why did you have to throw me out of the seat?" Superman said with a bit of resentment when he faced him.
"Well, I was trying to make a good entrance but as you can see". Alex pointed towards the girls who were happily chatting with HawkGirl.
"That was really cool entrance Dude. How did you freeze us like that? I can tell that you stopped time for us?" Flash came in front of Alex in a red blur as he started firing questions.
"One of my powers". Alex gave a perfunctory answer as he smiled.
"And Martian, I warn you to not read my mind". Alex said while looking towards Martian Manhunter dangerously.
He felt someone trying to breach into his mind but was blocked by Avalon. He immediately knew who that is.
"I'm sorry". Martian Manhunter bowed as he expressed seriously.
"Just take it as a warning but I hope there won't be a next time". Alex said as he waved his hand to diffuse the tense atmosphere.
"Don't worry, I will make sure to remember". Martian Manhunter nodded with a sincere smile.
Batman was also looking at him squintingly. He might go very extreme with others but family is like his reverse scale. He can never let anyone touch it.
"Alright, now tell me the situation while I was gone". Alex diverted the topic to a more serious conversation.
Everyone's smiles vanished as they turned serious and no one refuted Alex. He was considered the first hero that got every one of them the recognition they deserved.
"The situation hasn't been very optimistic. The criminals were very afraid of you for some reason when you were there but now, all of them run rampant. Meta-Humans pop out every other day and it is just getting more and more ridiculous". Green Lantern said as he reported seriously.
"The man power here is not enough". Alex surveyed the surroundings and concluded.
"You guys find some promising youngsters that can be trained. They have to be voluntary, this cannot be forced. We can also provide them with a secure refuge and much needed family and education if they don't want to do hero work". Alex said while looking at everyone.
Everyone took his words to heart and nodded their heads. They could completely agree with his words as they were quite reasonable.
"For the young'uns, I will establish a base and we will call it Teen Titans or Young Justice. Now, I want to go home and rest. See you guys tomorrow". Alex said and quickly escaped as he saw the Girls were about to turn their heads to him.
