Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

"Ugh, I'm a woman."

What a turn of events. Let's evaluate all that has just happened. First, a scary ghost tells me my 'wish is granted'. Second, I suddenly appear in some random as a girl. And now that I think about it, this new body really reminds me of Petra. After everything that's happened, I wouldn't be surprised.

"Let's see. What if-"

No. Please no. No no no no no no. It can't be a coincidence that not do I look like Petra, but it appears that I'm in some place that looks like the Dark Forest's exit. That giant knight statue is here after all. Looks like I'm in RUINIFORM Online. But how?

"Shit. This isn't good."

If I'm right, and I am in RUINIFORM, then I need to get somewhere safe quickly. If what Soterius said is true, I should be able to get to a safe town by following this path. But I might encounter monsters along the way. I wonder if I can use my spells.

I raise my hand and try to imagine a flame as clearly as I can. As the image forms, I feel my hand getting hotter. It's been a few minutes, the image is crystal clear.

"FIREBOLT!"

A ball of flames shoots from my hand and flies into the air before dissipating.

"First try, huh? Lucky me."

After testing out a few more basic spells, I head out for the town. The scenery is so beautiful. The lush greenery and cool air, it's really wonderful. But I shouldn't let my guard down. Knowing this game, anything could happen. And speaking of, looks like I have company. Approaching me is a group of rough looking characters with smirks on each face. Walking behind them is an absolute unit clad in worn armour.

"Ugh, bandits."

Pesky little vermin who generally ambush travelling merchants. They are normally easy to deal with, but you're in trouble if you're outnumbered.

"Hey there, little lady!" the lot stop, and one walks forward. "You're quite the looker. Why don't you come have some fun with me d my friends?"

"No, thank you. I'm on my way somewhere."

"Aw, c'mon. It'll be fun!"

He's not going to give up. I should just take care of them quickly.

"I'm sorry, but you're in my way." I raise my hands, palms facing the bandits. God, I hate saying these cringy names. "FIREBOLT!"

Just like before, a ball of flames launches out of my hands. It hits the man standing in front and knocks him to the ground.

"FUCK!"

He managed to protect his body with his arms, but they became badly burnt.

"KILL THIS BITCH!" he shouts.

The rest of the group run towards me, but the big one stays still.

"You're dead!" screams a scrawny man as he swings his blade at me. I manage to dodge just in time, but get a cut on my forearm.

"You shoulda just did what we said!"

Another man zooms forward, flanks my right and punches me in the ribs with a bulky, black gauntlet. It feels like getting knocked by a car. But my body is strong enough to at least not get too damaged.

I fall to the ground from the impact. While I'm down, a little dwarf jumps on top of me and slams his fist onto my face. I don't get any time to react, or maybe it's because I'm not used to this kind of thing.

I manage to push the dwarf off of me.

"Iron Maiden!" I shout.

A casket with a face of a weeping woman appears around the dwarf. The face opens its mouth and the cries of the dwarf can be heard. He's shouting in agony. The casket then disappears, revealing the little dwarf with holes all over his body, coated in blood.

The other two pause for a moment, then prepare to attack me again. I brace myself, I'm out of energy and I won't be able to dodge. Looks like this is the end.

"STOP!" shouts the big guy at the back.

The two pause and glance back.

"Boss, how about we have fun with her before we kill her. We can get your wounds healed quickly, then you can blow off some steam." The man speaks in a deep voice that makes the ground tremble.

"Alright. Good idea. Don't kill her yet!" shouts the man with the burnt arms. "She needs to pay for killing one of our comrades. Death would be too easy."

"N-no, please!"

"Shut up!" yells the man with the sword. He walks over and raised his sword and swings it, knocking me unconscious with the pommel.
