Yang Dai got off the ship. He headed towards the island.
He looked at himself. It was not looking good. All the food and fresh water had been ruined by the storm, his clothes were completely soaked so he had to take them off, and the forest was full of unknowns and he could possibly die.
Yang Dai scrunched up his eyebrows.
Speaking of the storm, what happened? He remembered that day, it was sunny and windy, but not hot. It was probably the best weather Yang Dai saw in his life!
Then, storm clouds appeared out of nowhere, they terrorized the skies and lightning was coming down ever half second and fog started to appear. Heavy rain also masked the sound of everything.
He remembered that lightning struck down on Noshiro, filling her with large holes. What was strange was that he saw a humanlike figure sitting near them in a butterfly position. His eyes were closed and he adorned traditional chinese clothing. He also had large horns on the top of his head.
Noshiro began sinking shortly after that and after that... he couldn't remember.
Coming back from the flashback, Yang Dai shivered and he felt a lot less motivated. His father was gone and he didn't know where he was. He didn't know if help would even arrive.
He shook his head. It was not good thinking about these things, you couldn't change the past.
He began looking around the beach for a possible meal. He traveled around the island but found nothing. There was no sign of life.
Yang Dai was beginning to get more hopeless when suddenly, he felt a pair of eyes on him.
"Greetings. I am R-69, are you here to take the trial?"
Yang Dai quickly turned around, he saw a metal figure and warily said, " Who are you?"
Although he was relieved innerly. His ray of hope finally appeared!
"I am R-69, the caretaker of Master Li's trial. This trial tests one's determination, courage, ability, and elegance." the metal figure answered.
"And what if I don't want to participate in this trial?" Yang Dai asked.
"Then you die. Follow me." The figure said tersely before gesturing to Yang Dai.
Yang Dai followed with reticence. After all, his father said never talk to strangers and especially never follow them! But in this highly strange situation, it seemed like there was no choice.
...
Yang Dai was panting heavily. He had already been following R-69 for more than 5 hours. How was the island so big?
"Can we have a break?" Yang Dai asked. The metal figure didn't answer so he could only carry on.
...
10 hours later
Yang Dai was about to collapse, when the robot turned around.
"Congratulations! You have passed the first trial, Determination."
