08- Girl.
We've been living together for more than two months. We fight occasionally, but we see that after a fierce disagreement, we make up.
When we fight, he doesn't like to sleep. He informed me that it disturbs him when it occurs, so we get it to where we resolve things before we go to sleep.
Jax, in particular, constantly expanded their business operations worldwide. However, there was never a reason why he couldn't make time for us.
I enjoy my work, on the other hand. Kuya Zavi and Kuya Zach have taken over our company at SVD Holdings, as we have three businesses here in the Philippines. The SVD Creations were managed by Kuya Kaius and Kuya Ridge, while Kuya Reizo and Kuya Rion were running the SVD Designs.
The New York business, SVD Creations, Kuya Kaius, is directly involved. Kuya Ridge is the COO, and he is running it here in the Philippines. Kuya Kaius plans to move here after a year and give our parents power in New York, which is why they are also trying to persuade me to go and run it. But since I can't leave Jax, I chose to remain.
Jax fetched me from the company, and we agreed he was going to prepare our dinner. First, as I was busy arranging the flowers he brought me, he went to our room. I've fixed the vase and walked upstairs.
I saw how he held the envelope my dad handed me regarding our New York business. When I noticed he had already read what's in there, I paled.
I had seen how his jaw was firmly clenched due to the seaming wrath inside it. His eyes were dark, and the paper he held almost crumbled by his hand.
"What is this, Cali?" He attempted not to raise his voice by speaking the words slowly but didn't fail to show that he's mad.
"Jax," I bit my lip to escape his angry gaze. "It's nothing."
Jax exclaimed irritatingly as he lifted his hand to show me the letter. "Nothing? You are leaving me!"
"No, Jax. No... I'm not." I trembled because he got it all wrong.
"What? You're going to leave me and move to New York!" he's never been trying to hide his madness right now.
"No, please. Listen..." I gently said to relieve the anger he feels.
"Then what's it?" His chest quickly heightened, which made me come near him enough to allow us space.
"They simply asked me to visit and oversee the business soon... and I decided -"
"Are you leaving me, then? "Now he's really furious.
"No..." I shook my head as I attempted to grab his hand, but he turned his back. His heavy sighs are still evident from here.
I bit my lip hard for what he did. I am so near to crying. It's our first time to argue like this.
"Jax, please listen..." I walked forward before wrapping my arms from behind him.
"Listen, please, Jax." I began to explain somehow after he calmed down, but he is still quiet.
"Jax, no... I don't want to leave you. This morning I called Daddy that I would take their offer down. Jax, come on, I'm not going to stop supporting you..." My tears had fallen.
"Jax, please. Please. Believe me. I'm not going to leave. I'm never going to leave your side." I cried, holding my hand wrapped around his waist and taking it off.
I was startled and wounded till I felt his hand holding onto my face. He washed my tears and pulled the hair on my face.
"Hush now, Cali. Hush now, baby. I'm very sorry. I'm so sorry. I was... I simply don't want you to leave me here." He's kissing all over my face until my lips.
"Baby, stop crying." He remarked, but I can't stop sobbing.
He embraced me and stroked my hair till I was quiet.
"Cali, I was afraid you might leave me. I can't bear to not be with you. I'm never going to let that happen. I'm very sorry. I'm sorry. Please forgive me," And I nodded.
Jax lowered his head and reached for my lips. I closed my eyes when I felt his to mine. He's kissing me hard, and I cannot keep up with his speed, so I let his tongue dominate. His tongue has slid and has claimed every area of my mouth.
He pulled up my legs and wrapped them up to his waist, and pushed my thigh back. Especially as he leaned into me, it was so hard to breathe.
We went into the bedroom, Jax carried me, and he placed me down and put his arms around me.
As he kissed my hair and caressed my fingers, he whispered, "I love you, baby."
"I love you too, Jax." I cuddled closer to him, smiling as I looked at him. I kissed his jaw.
"I'm sorry for what I did a while back. I'm afraid you're going to leave me, baby."
"I'm also sorry, Jax. We wouldn't argue over it if I mentioned it sooner..." I reached his face for him to look down.
"And remember, I'm so much in love with you, and the last thing I'd do was leave you behind." I stared straight into his eye to feel my sincerity.
"I know, baby. I love you so much."
"I love you too, Jax." And I kissed him.
I woke up and looked at the clock, and it's still dawn. When I saw Jax sleeping soundly, I grinned. His arms wrapped firmly around my body.
I glanced at him. His arms were tight around me, and his leg was on top of me. I lifted my hand and ran my fingers to his sharp nose. He stirred but he didn't wake up,
He pulled me closer instead and buried his face on my neck. On my skin, I felt his warm breath. Minutes later, I dozed off to sleep again.
I woke up and didn't see Jax beside me. I heard the rippling water sound from the bathroom that made me realize that he was inside. I went to the kitchen and prepared our breakfast which is pancakes.
I walked upstairs to call Jax after I finished making our breakfast. Slowly I opened the door and walked to our closet.
He's on his back; that's why he can't see me entering the room.
"Hey..." I whispered.
While clutching his iPhone, he nearly leaped in surprise. I observed it taking time to look at its unexpected shock and witnessed its message exchange with someone. Maddy...
I noticed the final text stating, "Jax, can I see you?" and my brows wrinkled at what the sender called him.
He got his hand on his smartphone and placed it in his pocket. His face became pallid.
"Who is she?" I inquired.
"A family friend." After a time, he replied.
Family friend? He didn't inform me about her since then.
I knew about his friends in Italy, too, yet he never introduced me to a "Maddy."
"Oh, will you see her?" I asked again.
"No, come on, let's eat." He tried to divert our conversation. But I didn't let him.
"Are you not going to see her? Why?" I still attempt to put questions to him.
"Come on, Cali. I said I'm not going to see her."
"So why?" I said, a bit upset at what he's doing.
He led me outside of his room, but I didn't allow him. "Baby, come on, please, let's eat." I slid out of his grasp as he tried to reach mine.
"Why do you avoid my questions, Jax?" My brows furrowed, and my arms crossed in front of him.
"It's nothing, Cali..."
"You can answer my questions if it's really nothing." I snapped at him.
"We're going to fight for it?" he asked softly.
"We will not argue about it if I ask you and you reply." I sat down and stared at him.
He was wearing his three-piece suit, I observed. I'm not in the mood to go to work today, so maybe I'll call Kuya Zavi that I am going to take a leave. I don't know whether I can focus while working.
With this unexpected disagreement between us, I might ponder this at my office all day and won't be productive.
He kneeled in front of me and held my chin, and he lifted it. I still glanced away from him with my angry expression, despite his gaze attempting to soothe my wrath.
"Cali, look at me." I tried my best not to glance at him.
"Baby." Again he called me, holding my hands on my lap.
I felt my chest strained by the sudden rush of emotional responses, I think right now.
I do not want to look at him. I don't know why he can't answer my questions, and it's quite apparent he tries to escape it.
"Baby, please. Look at me." I faced him, but I didn't look into his eyes.
"She's just a family friend. And she asks me to meet her because her grandfather wants to invest in our business. I will not see her because I don't have anything to say to her. I've simply informed her that my lawyer will see her and talk about that." He honestly stated.
I just bit my lip. That was it? Perhaps I've gone overboard. Maybe I was overreacting. I wanted to apologize to Jax, but I'm embarrassed about what I did a while ago.
"Come on, baby. Let's not fight about this." I nodded as he came closer and put a kiss on my forehead.
"Let's go down. Let's eat. I miss your special pancakes." He chuckled softly and kept my hand to lead me downstairs.
When we were eating, I was quiet. Jax attempted to strike a conversation, but I always responded with a single sentence. Because of the stillness, I nearly heard crickets.
He grabbed my attention as we rose after eating.
"I'm going to wait for you here. Prepare now for work, baby." He kissed my forehead. I shook my head.
"I'm going to take a leave for this day..." My choice seemed surprising, and his stares remained on me longer till he nodded.
"Okay, baby. If you need anything, call me." He said softly and put his arms around me. As a reply, I nodded my head. He kissed my forehead and lips and went to work.
Inside his penthouse, I contemplated quietly. A while ago, I was so preoccupied with unexpected anger, so I did not care whether we got into that argument. I've just been intrigued and a little in question.
Perhaps I'm going to ask for his forgiveness. I was too much a while ago and raising my voice at him, so I wanted to make it up for him. As a peace gesture, I decided to cook for him. I'm glad that Mom taught me how to cook pasta.
I went to the supermarket and bought the necessary materials. I walked to the counter once I had gathered everything I needed and paid for it. When I got to Jax's penthouse, I did what I had to do quickly. I placed the meal in a container when I was done.
I went to change upstairs. I was wearing my sage green cowl mini dress, wrapped it up with a nude coat, and combined it with my beige slide sandals.
I placed the light on my face, and when I was satisfied, I grabbed a cab to Jax's office since I didn't trust my driving abilities and refused to contact our driver.
"Hello, Ma'am Zoey!" When I arrived at their company, I smiled at all the employees. They know me as a girlfriend of Jax, and I always come here frequently to visit him, especially when I am not busy.
Liana, Jax's secretary, was just right outside the CEO's large office. She glanced up at me, and I smiled. She stood up to come close to me.
"Hello, Lia. Is Blaze in his office" I asked as I looked at his office's double doors. When I speak to other people, most notably when it comes to work, I always use his first name.
"Hello, Ma'am Zoey, Sir Blaze's still in the conference room."
"Oh." I was a bit shocked since he still works, and it's almost time for lunch!
"But if you wish, Ma'am, I can call him." Maybe a while ago, she noticed my disappointment. Since I don't want to disturb him since work is essential, I smiled at her and shook my head.
"No… No need. I'll just wait for him in his office. Thank you. "
"Certainly, Ma'am." She nodded and went to the office of Jax first.
I was about to approach his office when some girl arrived. She's wearing a tight red dress and crimson sexy lipstick.
I walked towards Liana when I heard her spoke... to Jax's secretary.
"Where is Jax?" She asked.
