THE GUY WHO KILLED MY BOYFRIEND

CHAPTER EIGHT

Dayne Jamila's POV

Our classroom is now like a public market. All of my classmates are talkative because we have a new classmate. Yes, a new classmate again. Might be every day, there will be an addition to our class. Psh.

Everyone wants to be friends with her. No wonder because she is so beautiful. But looks like our new classmate is boyish and doesn't want attention. She is not smiling nor talking back to those who tried to approach her.

She is looking for a vacant seat. I am just observing what's happening around me. Dylan is not yet here, so the seat beside me is vacant. Seconds later, she sat beside me. I just remained silent.

"Dayne Jamila, right?" she said.

I raised my brow. How did she know me?

"My name is Chelsea. Nice to meet you. Now, we are friends!"

I was about to speak but she said something again.

"Don't worry, I know your secret. You don't have friends here. Starting today, you can count on me."

The way how she acts reminds me of someone. Looks like she is the female version of Dylan.

Speaking of Dylan, until now, he is not coming. Our class is about to start. But don't get me wrong, I am not waiting for him.

During the class, our teacher mentioned that we have to conduct a grouping during the weekend. Group of three. It is not my intention to participate but Chelsea already decided for me.

She easily formed a group of three. I, herself and Roxette- the most behave in our class.

Chelsea is unbelievable! Yes, just like Dylan.

When lunchtime came, she easily dragged me towards the pantry. And I just remained silent and just followed her. Oh, my newfound friend!

I remembered Dylan said that I am worth dragging for.

"What do you want to order?" Chelsea asked.

"Pizza and soft drinks," I answered.

"That's unhealthy!" then she ordered some rice, vegetables, and mineral water instead. So what's the use of asking me anyway?

We looked for a vacant seat.

"Chelsea... We have a grouping tomorrow, right?" I asked while we are eating.

"Yes."

"Where are we going to do it?"

"Your house. I'll just inform Roxette about it." Woah! Did I agree already?

Honestly, I don't know if I should be grateful now for I have a so-called 'friend'. Looks like my life lost its sanity because of Chelsea.

"By the way Dayne Jamila, how are you?"

"I am just fine." Even though you suddenly came into my life.

"How about you and Dylan?"

"Eh? What about us?" How does she know about Dylan? She's a transferred student and just transferred today. To think that Dylan did not attend any of our classes. So how does it happen?

"Never mind! Just continue eating."

I really can't understand her.

--- The following day ---

Chelsea, Roxette, and I agreed to meet at our house before lunchtime. I expected that my three brothers will not be here since it's the weekend. Usually, they are playing basketball on Saturdays but suddenly, they have an unplanned general cleaning in our house today. So now, they are all here. Just hope that we could be able to focus on our task.

I was just about to inform them that I will be having some visitors when the doorbell suddenly rings.

I bet they are here already.

I ran towards the gate to open it.

And I am right! It is Chelsea and Roxette.

"Come in..." I entertained them. It is my first time entertaining guests.

"You have a great house! Are you leaving here alone?" asked Chelsea.

"Uhmmm actually, no. My brothers are also here so I hope it's just fine with you guys."

"Yeah sure, it is fine with us. Maybe we should just stay in your room so that we could focus if that's okay with you."

I nodded.

I introduced Chelsea and Roxxete to my brothers. It's a bit awkward because I am not used to it.

Chelsea casually greeted them. While Roxette seems like doing an introduction and speech during graduation. She's being formal and talkative at the same time. Wait, did I mentioned to you guys that Roxette is the most behave in our class? But look now, she is so talkative.

We all eat our lunch together. It is nice seeing my brothers talking to whom I may consider friends even though I just get along with them just recently.

After we ate, we stayed in my room then started the group discussion. We've ended at around seven in the evening. We have talked about a lot of things including our personal lives. And I may say that it's fun opening up to someone.

CJ puts his arm around my shoulder when Chelsea and Roxette finally went home.

He asked a lot of things about Chelsea and I may say that he is interested in her. By the way how his eyes sparkle every time he is mentioning the name of Chelsea, love at first sight indeed! I just laugh and tease him. He looks like a child having puppy love.
