Chapter 1 - The Messaging Arrows

Jacob Sylvie of 56, Rockstrode Street was a part time spy, currently enjoying his summer vacations. He didn't like strange things, thank you very much. Like all the other comic books and fantasy books that fill up the Rockstrode Public Library. He was a straightforward man with nothing to do than to save the country or maybe the world. He had a really strange condition(he didn't like strange things), He remembered all the things that he saw.

In other terms, He didn't forget things. He flipped the side of this coin and became a spy, He also didn't like not forgetting strange things. Once he saw a rat winking at him, Still roams around his dreams.

Jacob was the last person to be a part of something strange.

It was a pleasant Sunday, Jacob walked down the staircase to the kitchen. He sat on the chair and waited for the mail. He keeps a stern look at the clock every time he sits idle. He doesn't let that time exceed ten minutes. All of a sudden the doorbell rang, Jacob rushed out of his chair to the door. He opened the door to see no-one was outside, "Pesky pranksters, I'll give them a lesson" Jacob moaned. As he was walking to the kitchen once again the doorbell rang. He quietly ignored it. After a minute or two, It rang once again.

Jacob's patience was being tested till it malfunctioned. He opened the door to see a strange dwarf(he didn't like strange things) waiting for him, tapping his feet against the ground as he listened to music through his headphones. "Why are you here?" said Jacob, the dwarf didn't seem to listen to what he said. The dwarf wore a red cloak and had vampire teeth he had, huge eyes and bushy hair and huge ears.

"Why are you here!?" Said Jacob a little sternly than before. Jacobs eyebrows raised to dangerous heights. The dwarf removed his headphones and replied "Oh, Jacob h-how are you d-doing", "I'm fine,Who are you?" Jacob replied. The moment he glanced at him once again he was gone, he left a letter. Jacob picked it up and opened it, He saw something written on it in red ink, it read-

"

Jacob Sylvie,

56, Rockstrode Street near Rockstrode Public Library

Dear Jacob,

I heard that your father recently passed away, now the only family you have is your brother whom you hate more than anything. We are sorry about your father but now we must move on. I call you to a job, Unlike any other, This one's much more dangerous. You need to stop Sauron, the evil overlord, from wielding a necklace powerful enough to harness the power of the strongest, strangest and most powerful stone in history. You need to steal the stone back to Earth, which is its homeland. For this, you will need to travel to a secret dimension through a portal.

I wish you understand,

Lirtus, The dwarf that showed up.

"

Questions were sprouting in his mind like popcorn popping in the microwave. Jacob didn't remember having a father. His father died when he was 2.

"Must be children playing a joke on me" said Jacob. Jacob tore the letter and threw it in the dustbin. He went inside and sat on his velvet armchair and prepared a cup of coffee for him. He turned on the TV and opened the news channel. "Strange dwarf found roaming in the streets of Rockstrode". It was Lirtus, The one who left with a letter. Lirtus was in trouble, Nyah, people like him deserve this. He stood up from his chair and suddenly, an arrow shot through his window and shattered it to pieces. The arrow landed on his fridge and broke it in half. He pulled the arrow and after a moment or two, something sprung out of it, a piece of paper. It had a moving picture on it. It was a beardy, old man with wrinkles near his eyes and a scythe on his hand. He moved his scythe in the picture."Parallax…" remembered Jacob.

"So strange…"
