Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

As Agatha ran up to her room, she slammed and locked the door as she flopped on her bed, she screamed into her pillow. Shortly after her screaming episode, she fell asleep and nuzzled into her pillow.

Helena's POV

When I got to my room, I immediately called up my friend, Lavina, lucky she gets to stay up this late and I excitedly told her about the Bahamas~

"THE BAHAMAS?!" Lavina shouted through the phone.

"Yes, the Bahamas, not kidding you~" I said while giggling.

SLAM

"Woah, what's going on over there?" Lavina asked.

"I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably Lardie McFatass throwing a temper tantrum because she's regretting her choice to work during her summer vacation." I answered while flipping my hair.

"She's going to work on a summer vacation? Ew. Gross. I wouldn't be caught dead being seen doing 'hard labor'" Lavina shuddered.

"I know, right? Oh don't get me started on what William said he witnessed. He said that 'she was chatting with a boy'" I said, and immediately heard Lavina spitting and laughing on the other end. While laughing alone with Lavina, I took a deep breath before getting back on the phone.

"I know. I was dying when I heard that. A guy talking to a girl like her? Ridiculous." I said as I got out of bed , "It still bothers me that Tubby got into Ridge Academy." I added while pacing around the room.

"Yeah. It goes to show that anyone can get accepted into that school." Lavina said.

"If anyone can get accepted, why did losers like her get accepted and not me? I should've gotten into that school, not her. What a waste of space." I complained.

"Maybe it's like one of those um... delayed accepted letters. My older brother got accepted to that school two year and he's a fucking snoozefest, starting his junior year. He doesn't talk but he somehow has friends. And he's with a guy named 'Roddie Jackson' and he's a total hottie~" Lavina swooned as she squealed.

"You'll have to tell me more next time. It's getting late..." I said, sighing.

"They still don't let you stay up all night? Lame... Talk to you tomorrow Siesta Helena." Lavina laughed as she hung up.

Beep Beep Beep

After hearing that, I threw my phone on the bed screaming from the top of my lungs. I've always hated having lame ass nicknames based on my luck. I'll never forget the nickname and insults I got through elementary school.

Acoustic Helena

'Do you wear your diaper today?'

'Watch out! Don't go behind, Helena. She'll drop release her acoustics'

'Acoustic Helena should really be called 'Skunky Helena', that was a stinker.'

I fart ONE TIME and THAT NICKNAME NEVER WENT AWAY!

I blame the school for serving shitty ass food!

Agatha had it all: a doting dad with incredible income and amazing expensive things. She basically lives in luxury while I had to deal with living in lower class and cheap knockout products.

She must think she's all high and mighty since she achieved so much, those were supposed to be mine!

The acceptance letter

Honor roll

The recognition

EVERYTHING

WHY DOESN'T SHE CRAWL IN A HOLE AND DIE?!

DIE ALREADY AGATHA SO I CAN HAVE EVERYTHING! YOU'RE SUCH A BANE OF MY APPEARANCE!

DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE

Pretty soon after I calmed down, I lied down for a while before drifting off, "Mom... Do your job..." I thought before falling asleep

Normal POV

The next day, everything seemed to be back to normal. Sapphire was a lot happier, she prepared breakfast this morning. Soon after setting up the table Helena and William entered the kitchen, Agatha didn't come down for breakfast per usual.

"Not joining for breakfast again... Do you think we were being selfish about going to the Bahamas without Agatha?" Sapphire asked, William shook his head "I don't think so. I mean like you said she's practically grown now and with her getting a summer job, that really shows that she is growing up..." he said as he ate his breakfast.

"If anything Agatha should be happy that we have something to do over the summer rather than doing nothing in the house." Helena said as she took a sip of her juice, "Exactly!" William said.

"I guess you're right... I shouldn't think too much about it." Sapphire said with a smile.

It was then William's phone started to ring, he set down his fork as he answered the phone.

"Hello?... No, this is her father... Oh yeah, I'll get her on the phone." William said as he stood up and left the kitchen, heading over to Agatha's room.

Sapphire's POV

When William left the room, I deeply exhaled before turning to my daughter, "I thought he'd never leave." I said while fixing my hair.

"Agatha gets more and more annoying," Helena said, "You're sister got into a popular school~ She's getting a summer job~" she quoted mockingly as she looked at me.

"When are you guys going to make it official?" she asked.

"Would you relax? The trip to the Bahamas is the perfect opportunity to ask him without the parasite, but you have to stay out of our way. Understand?" I said as I sat down next to my daughter, "Marina's lucky that she's not here to see her daughter now. It's almost like that drunk driver just gave her a free pass to motherless life." I giggled.

"Y....eah..." my daughter said awkwardly, "Too far?" I asked.

"More like too soon. If she would come back to life, we'd have to extort her for taking care of her 'gifted' child." she said, smiling.

"You'd be right." I laughed.

William's POV

I knocked on Agatha's door, "Agatha? Are you awake?" I asked as I knocked on the door again, she soon opened the door with her messy hair and clothes she still had on yesterday.

"Oh-Ah...Um..." I stuttered as I held out my phone to her, "Phone's for you." I said as she took the phone and closed the door on my face.

I stood next to the door frame as I slid to the floor while scratching my head, heaving a sigh. I waited patiently at the door until Agatha opened the door and gave me my phone, "Is everything alright?" I asked while holding my phone as I stood up.

"Well I got the job. I have to attend the orientation tomorrow before I start working in three days." she said montonely.

"That's great to hear... Listen... about yesterday-" I said before she cut me off, "Don't worry about it. I already know you're still going to the Bahamas, I'll just go spend a couple of nights at Giovanna's place after my camp counseling job is over." she explained.

"I...uh... okay? I'll give Eduardo a call later. Um... Okay, uh, breakfast is on the table. I know you must be hungry after going to bed without any food." I said, Agatha went silent before getting out of her room as she closed her door. She then went to the stairs.

"Right..." I quietly said as I followed Agatha to the kitchen.

Normal POV

As Agatha walked in the kitchen, Sapphire looked at Agatha as she stood up from her seat, walking towards her with open arms. "Good morning~" she said in a singing tone, Agatha moved away from Sapphire as she walked past Sapphire going straight to the fridge.

Sapphire sighed as William walked in, smiling. "Well she got the job. She'll be starting next week, cool right?" he said. Sapphire looked at William, "Willy, Agatha didn't greet me~" she whined. "Agatha, say 'Good Morning' to Sapphire. Right. Now." he said, angrily. Agatha ignored William as she took out a packet of burst strudel before leaving the kitchen as quickly as she could.

"Agatha? Agatha!!" William shouted.

Slam

William sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose before looking at Sapphire, "She's probably preparing for tomorrow's orientation. You know, finding the appropriate work wear and what not." he explained with an awkward smile. "I still think she hates me, dear." she said as she produced crocodile tears in her eyes, "We should worry about what's going on right now. She just needs to get used to what's going on right now." said William.

"But, Babe, It's been two years. She'll never accept me." Sapphire sniffled, "Who cares what she thinks? All that matters is that we're happy." William said as he went over to Sapphire while embracing her. Sapphire returned William's embrace as she smirked at Helena, Helena smiled as she put a thumb up.
