Dimas looked seriously at the cellphone screen, which showed a chat room with Natalie. Natalie texted beforehand about the schedule for their upcoming business trip.
"I'm glad she called me first, though. Turns out it was about work." Dimas took a deep breath, his face looked gloomy.
Dimas was on the balcony of his room, enjoying the breeze while eating a snack. Dimas sat on a chair on the balcony. He was confused about what to reply to the last message Natalie sent. It didn't feel right if Dimas replied to a message that Natalie's words had clearly ended the conversation.
Dimas folded his arms and placed them on the balcony divider. Dimas pressed his chin in the middle of his folded hands, his lips curved downwards with a gloomy feeling. "I want to be closer to Nata… But, how?"
Like a teenager who falls in love for the first time and is confused about how to approach the person he likes, that's how Dimas feels immediately. He was so ashamed of himself for not knowing about love. So hard to do beyond office work.
"Hey! Why are you daydreaming?!"
Dimas was startled by a tap on his shoulder accompanied by a startling sound. Luckily, the balcony barrier was a little high so Dimas didn't fall forward. Even though Dimas's room is on the first floor, it still hurts to fall.
Dimas closed his eyes, trying to control his emotions. It seemed that Dimas wanted to curse the person who startled him. But, seeing that's Dedrick, Dimas swallowed back his anger.
Dimas gritted his teeth. "Brother Rick! You startled me!"
Dedrick chuckled amused then wrapped his arms around Dimas's shoulder tightly. Dedrick put his mouth close to Dimas's ear. "Instead of daydreaming here, want to come with me?"
Dimas knitted his brows, glancing at Dedrick questioningly. "Where are you going?"
Dedrick smiled mysteriously, making Dimas even more curious. "Just go with it. You'll find out later."
Dedrick pulled Dimas's hand to follow him. Dimas who was pulled suddenly without thinking immediately grabbed his cell phone which was on the table. "Brother, where are we going?"
Dedrick laughed merrily, his handsome face beaming like he was about to enjoy some fun. "I'll show you my secret, Dimas. You just need to follow me."
Dimas raised an eyebrow, in his mind he wondered exactly where they were going. Then, why did Dedrick look so eager to go somewhere.
Dimas exhaled, he resignedly followed Dedrick. This second brother of his attitude really must be faced with great patience.
"Okay, but don't take me to an obscure place."
Dedrick smirked, without Dimas knowing. "Of course."

"Huh?! Why did you take me to a place like this?! I told you, don't take me to unknown places!" Dimas gave a muffled scream when he saw the place Dedrick was aiming for.
Dedrick chuckled because Dimas had already protested, even though they had just arrived. "Not an obscure place, Dimas. I've been here many times. So, you don't have to worry."
Dimas growled angrily. How could he not worry if they were currently in front of a club'?! Dimas had never been to a place like this, nor did he really like the sound of music that was deafening and made his head dizzy.
"Come on, let's go in!" Dedrick casually gripped Dimas's hand tightly so that his young brother wouldn't run away.
Dimas tried to release Dedrick's grip several times, but unexpectedly, Dedrick's grip was very tight. "Brother, I want to avoid coming in!"
"No way! We're already here! You should at least go in and have some fun inside! Besides, there's something I want to show you." Dedrick is still determined to get Dimas into the club together with himself.
Dedrick's hand already held a membership card at Vivi's Club'. Dedrick could easily enter the club while dragging Dimas after showing his membership card to one of the bodyguards who stood guarding the entrance.
Dimas was so uncomfortable when he entered the club'. There were many people in the club' and there seemed to be a party going on, so the club' was busier than usual. The deafening sound of music made Dimas frown slightly. Dimas ears feel ringing and almost deaf if he is in that place for a long time.
"Ha ha ha… It's perfect for me to come during a party! This will be more fun!" Dedrick laughed happily, knowing that the club was getting busier.
Dedrick led Dimas away from the crowd and into a room. Dimas finally breathed a sigh of relief while rubbing his ears. Music no longer sounded deafening after Dimas entered the room.
"Well, Dimas, let me tell you my secret." Dedrick switched to gripping Dimas's shoulders. Dedrick's face looks serious this time, there is no joke in his eyes.
Dimas was stunned to see Dedrick who looked more serious than usual. This is the first time Dimas has seen Dedrick seriously in saying something. So, Dimas decided to listen to what Dedrick's secret was that made his brother look serious.
"On weekends, I work here as a bartender. Don't tell this secret to anyone, including Father and Brother Liam. They will strictly forbid what I do." Dedrick smiles wryly, remembering that his dream was opposed by Christian and William. Dedrick hopes that Dimas at least doesn't give a response that offends him, even though he doesn't like what Dedrick is going to do.
Dimas blinked his eyes, his face turned flat. "So… this is the reason Brother Rick didn't manage the first branch of the Lawrence Company? Are you happy with what you are doing?"
Dedrick suddenly felt tense to get a response like this from Dimas. He thought Dimas would look down on himself and belittle the work he did. It turned out that Dimas had a straight face that made Dedrick unable to guess how Dimas judged what he was doing.
However, Dedrick felt it was much better for him because Dedrick did not expect a compliment or ridicule. "Yeah, this is the reason I'm not doing a good job, and I'm happier with my job as a bartender than as a CEO at the first branch of the Lawrence Company!"
Dedrick said it firmly. However, of course he can't be proud because among the pleasures he does, Dedrick neglects his responsibilities as CEO of a company. This is something that cannot be justified, even though Dedrick has reasons why he did this irresponsible act.
Dimas looked right into Dedrick's eyes to see if there was a lie that radiated from Dedrick's eyes. However, it appears that Dedrick said something that actually made Dimas unable to comment further.
Dimas exhaled, still with a flat face. "Alright, do what you think is right. However, I still don't agree with the way you make your wish come true."
Dedrick snorted in amusement, he knew very well that Dimas was trying to keep his words from offending himself while at the same time giving Dedrick a warning about what he was doing. Dedrick feels proud to have a younger brother like Dimas who has a great sense of responsibility.
"As expected of a genius like you, Dimas. Now I know why Father insists on siding with you instead of Brother Liam, who has worked so hard all this time." Dedrick smiled a little by looking in Dimas.
Dimas was a little disturbed because it felt like he was drowned in Dedrick's eyes staring at him. "Indeed, what made Father insist on siding with me?"
Dedrick released his hand from Dimas's shoulder. He turned and walked towards a locker in the room. Dimas finally realized that they were in the locker room for the workers.
Dedrick opened the locker to retrieve the uniform he always wore on duty. "Dimas, while I'm working, you can have some fun first. Or else, you can sit in the chair in front of the bar table. I'm in charge of serving drinks there."
Because he did not get an answer to his question, Dimas finally did not want to discuss it further. Dimas thought for a moment that it was better for him to stay in this room, but this was a changing room, and it would look suspicious if Dimas remained silent in the room even though he was not one of the workers at the club'.
"I'll take a seat at the bar table." Dimas decided to stay around Dedrick. He still felt foreign to the club's atmosphere, it was better to stay around Dedrick.
Dedrick shook his head in disbelief. Dimas doesn't seem to have any intention of messing with sexy women who can be easily found at Vivi's Club'.
"Okay, then don't stay far from me. Father will definitely be angry if you do something wrong." Dedrick knows very well how much Christian 'guards' a valuable treasure like Dimas. After having abandoned Dimas in the past, his father shamelessly wanted to use Dimas as best he could to get as much profit as possible.
They walked out of the locker room and headed for the bar. Beautifully shaped chairs lined up neatly in front of the long bar table. Dedrick went inside to start work, while Dimas was outside and chose a chair not far from Dedrick.
"It's rare to see Rick being serious about doing his job." Dimas observed how Dedrick served drinks ordered by people sitting in front of the bar table or people who ordered to be brought to the table occupied.
Dedrick was even seen smiling broadly as he poured a variety of different colored drinks. Seen Dedrick several times laughing with people who ordered drinks.
"Brother really enjoys doing his job as a bartender. But, it's not easy to do without stealth." Dimas took a deep breath, feeling concerned for Dedrick. Dimas knows a little about Christian's character. If his father had refused, then Dedrick had to obey him. If Christian finds out Dedrick is doing a job he has strictly forbidden, Dedrick might be in big trouble.
So, Dimas decided to keep his mouth shut. After all, all this time it was Dedrick who had always sided with him when William had a disagreement with him. Well, it's okay for Dimas to pretend he doesn't know about Dedrick's actions. Think of it as Dimas's gratitude towards his brother.
"Hey, Handsome, just be alone. I'm with you, okay?"
Dimas shuddered in horror when he felt someone hug him tightly. Moreover, Dimas heard a voice that sounded naughty and tempting. With a stiff movement, Dimas turned to the side and found the woman who was currently clinging tightly to his side. The woman appeared to be one of the entertainers at Vivi's Club' or one of the fun-loving patrons.
"Go!" Dimas gritted his teeth, he couldn't accept being hugged carelessly by people he didn't know. Dimas in the club' is not to have fun with this kind of women. He was only accompanying Dedrick, why is he the trouble now?!
The woman who was wearing a thigh-high dress with a low cleavage showed parts of her body that shouldn't be casually exposed, giggling and feeling funny seeing Dimas acting as if he was rejecting her. The woman thought that Dimas had high prestige, he was actually tempted by the woman's curves that looked tempting, but acted as if he didn't like her.
"Handsome, don't be shy. I've met many people who initially resisted, but when we tease them a little, they'll easily drop their meaningless prestige in a place like this." The woman pressed her chest against Dimas's arm, which she was hugging.
Dimas got goosebumps, his eyes immediately looked at Dedrick intending to ask for help. However, the bar table was so full that it prevented Dimas from seeing Dedrick. Dimas feels like crying now because he is stuck with a woman who seduces him with a sexy body that he is not even interested in.
