"Child, c the older Alpha chocked out, "nobodies. You are my family. I have missed you!" He pulled her into a hug. "Allow me to officially introduce myself. I am Romero Roberto Rodriguez, the third, Alpha of this pack." He bowed. She giggled for some reason finding him being so formal a bit funny. "Wait. Rodriguez? Not Roberts?"
"Roberts? What?" Romero looked at the others in the room. Juan cleared his voice,"Her mother uses the surname Roberts. Her last name is Roberts on her birth certificate."
"Oh." Romero said. "Umm. Your mother is my one and only daughter and heir to the pack and her name is not Roberts. You are a Rodriguez as well."
"I beg to differ with you. She is my granddaughter and therefore a Gracia." Roberto interrupted.
Rodney rolled his eyes. Juan pulled Belinda closer to his side.
"I am Belinda Anne Roberts. That is the name given me at birth. I may be a Gracia and a Rodriguez by blood but I am named legally as a Roberts, wherever she got that name.from...that is my name. I may not be a human. I may indeed be a werewolf but my name is Belinda Anne Roberts." she spoke with clarity and authority. Juan smirked, proud of her. Rodney, Roberto and Romero looked at her, then at one another then all three men laughed.
"An Alpha for certain!" Roberto said.
"Without a doubt!" Romero seconded.
"That's my girl.' said Rodney with a proud smile.
Belinda scowled. Shs had no idea why they were laughing at her. She just spoke the truth.
Juan whispered in her ear, "You just put three of the most powerful Alphas in their place, my love." He hugged her and kissed her neck.
Romero asked his guard to make sure dinner was ready. It was late now and no one had eaten since lunch time.
All entered the dining room and a huge feast was set before them. Just as they were to begin earing a gorgeous woman entered with grace and elegance. Romero rose and hugged her. He escorted her further into the room and whispered, "I have a surprise for you, my Beloved Luna." She smiled up at him, "You spoil me so." "Always, my Beloved." Romero said quietly. "Look." he pointed to the table. The woman froze. Then fainted in Romero's arms. Romero began to panic, "My Beloved! My Beloved!" He swept up into his arms and held her close whispering into her ears. She stirred and slowly opened her eyes to.look at his. He smiled and shook hisbhead yes. She looked over at the table again and motioned to Romero to.let her down. She stood there staring at Belinda. She took a shakey step forward and then ran to Belinda, embracing her from behind and sobbing.
Romero teared up. There was not a dry eye in the room, including the guards and the kitchen maids. Losing their beloved daughter had almost killed their Luna. Seeing her now was overwhelming. Romero pulled her back, "Beloved, let her breathe." and he chuckled. "Oh..oh..yes..of course...You look just like your mother, my dear." She shook her head and while tears streamed down her face she also was smiling.
Belinda felt overwhelmed for the woman before her looked like her mother only a bit older. "Grandmother?" Belinda whispered. The woman once again hugged her tight, "Oh yes, my dear. I am indeed your grandmother!" Tears flowed freely. Even Juan wiped his tears several times. As the emotions calmed, Belinda sighed and Juan spoke, "This has already been so much to take in. I think my beloved should go rest for a bit. We all should rest for a bit and gather in two hours here. We have much to see and even more to discuss." He stood and held a hand out to Belinda. She rose and took his hand, grateful for his intuition and boldness to speak just now. She was indeed a lot overwhelmed. It seemed as if nothing she thought about herself was real anymore. All in the room shook their heads in agreement. No one argued. Belinda and Juan walked out and disappeared up the stairs.
Roberto spoke first, "What's next? What now? Belinda is the heir of two packs and the Luna of a third. NOW WHAT?"
No one spoke. No one moved. All were lost in their own thoughts and emotions.
