Before his death, Ryuken dictated an edict to be read across the nation. His words were carried by couriers and heralds, spreading from village to village, town to town. The people gathered in the streets, listening with bated breath as the message of their leader's final decree echoed through the land.
'To my beloved people,
The time of dynasties has ended. This nation shall no longer be bound by the rule of bloodlines or divine spirits.
You, the people, will forge your destiny. Choose your leaders wisely, and let no one rule through fear or tyranny. This is your land. Protect it, nurture it, and cherish it. You have my faith, my hope, and my eternal love.'
This was the final announcement spread across the whole country as people wept in sorrow.
In Ryuken's castle…
The divine spirits, present but unseen, watched in silence.
They were saddened by the end of their bond with Ryuken, but they also carried a deep disappointment.
