After giving his command to open the special evolution tab, another rectangle, identical to the evolution catalog, appeared on Matthew's left side.
-----
Bionutrients Storage:
1751
Monster Data Available:
Common Wandering Spider (100%)
Lupus Wolf (100%)
Brown-Tailed Deer (57%)
-----
From eating the deers and wolves all this time, Matthew's bionutrients reached a whopping 1751, almost nine times more compared to his first evolution. Compared to eating the spiders that are only slightly smaller than his current body, eating the deers and wolves whose body is three times bigger than Matthew's, gave him a lot of bionutrients for him to use in this evolution, and with that many bionutrients, Matthew is sure that he will be able to get a lot of upgrades if he wanted to.
Matthew then looked at the monster data list, and he saw that the common wandering spider and lupus wolf text are colored white while the brown-tailed deer is written with the color gray.
'Does this mean that I can't access the brown-tailed deer body parts yet?'
Matthew then tried clicking on the gray text just like when he clicked on the common wandering spider text on his first evolution, but nothing happened and the list stayed the same.
'Wait, I'm not doing it wrong am I?'
Matthew then tried to click on the common wandering spider text to make sure that the special evolution tab is still working properly. And when he clicked the text, he finally saw the same change as last time. The bionutrients storage text shrinks and moves to the upper left corner in the rectangle, while the rest of the screen is filled with a list of the wandering spider's body parts.
'Well it still works just fine, that means that the greyed text is unavailable, just like the system said that I needed 100% to use the special evolution.'
Matthew then wanted to go to the lupus wolf tab since it is the moment he has been waiting for since the start of the evolution besides unlocking the aura ability, but just to be sure that he didn't miss anything, Matthew scrolled down the wandering spider body parts list to see if there's anything different or interesting since last time he has seen it.
Matthew scrolled down the list, passing through the same body parts that he had seen last time such as the spider's brain, heart, and stomach, then he continued scrolling down. When Matthew thought that there was nothing different, at the end of the list he noticed something that wasn't there the first time he saw the list.

Venom Gland +1
---
Not knowing what does the +1 means, Matthew decided to ask the system for an explanation,
'Host's venom glands post this evolution will be the +1 venom glands rather than the ordinary venom glands. The +1 is indicating that the venom glands have evolved once after being added to the host's body.'
'What is the difference and why are they separated from the ordinary venom glands?'
'The +1 venom glands are the upgraded version of the ordinary venom glands. It had evolved by having more venom potency than the ordinary one. If host decides to add the ordinary venom glands to host's body, then the newly added venom glands won't be automatically upgraded following the other glands that already exist in host's body. But if host chooses to add the +1 venom glands, then it will have the same venom potency as the other ones that have been upgraded by the evolution process.'
'And how strong is this upgraded venom potency?'
'The same as before, the system has insufficient data and host needs to test them out after the evolution process is finished.'
Already expecting this kind of response from the system after his recent questions, Matthew didn't bother to retort and just thanked the system.
'Should I add a third venom gland then? The venom so far has been really helpful and enabled me to do some amazing feats that are clearly impossible without the venom's help.'
Just to make sure first, Matthew then compared the bionutrients needed for the +1 venom glands and the ordinary venom glands. While the ordinary venom glands needed 55 bionutrients, the +1 needed 120, which is double the price.
'Isn't that robbery!? I don't even know how effective the new venom is and you're already charging me double the price!? What if it's only 1% more effective? It will be a waste of my hard-earned bio-nutrients!'
But after Matthew thought about it, adding one more venom gland, also means that it will also give him a 50% increase in his venom producing and storage capabilities. Even though the venom potency depended on his luck, the venom capacity increase is a guaranteed benefit for himself.
In the end, Matthew decided to just leave the venom glands for later after he looked at the wolf's body parts first. Since he doesn't know how expensive the wolf parts will be, he has to make sure he got enough, if not his second evolution will be wasted. And he had a feeling that a creature that has their bodies 4 or 5 times bigger than the spider will not have the same price as the spider.
Going back to the special evolution tab, Matthew then clicked at the lupus wolf text. And just like the spider, all the wolf's body parts are listed for Matthew to add to his body. From its sharp teeth and claws to its enhanced sense of smell, they are all written on the list without missing even one of them.
After looking through the list, the first thing that Matthew noticed is how expensive the bionutrients requirements are compared to the spider, just like he guessed. But even Matthew didn't think that it would be 3 or 4 times more expensive than the spider's.
He expected that the wolf's body parts cost would be on average of 150 to 300 bionutrients, not 300 to 600! There are some exceptions like one of the wolf teeth will cost him only 10 bionutrients, but Matthew wanted a set of them and there are 42 teeth inside a wolf's mouth, so it will require Matthew 420 bionutrients just for a full set of wolf's teeth!
'What the h*ll! I thought that I'm rich with 1751 bionutrients, but these wolf body parts just don't make sense with their ridiculous prices! I hope that I got enough for my plans.'
The reason why Matthew is adamant about getting the wolf monster data to 100% before his second evolution is because he already got a plan from the beginning on which part of the wolf that he wanted to add as an upgrade to his body, that is the wolf's mouth.
So far, excluding the fangs he got from the spider, Matthew was only able to use his mouth and teeth to chew and eat the prey after he killed them with either using his poison or his claws.
He got a lot of opportunities to attack using his mouth due to his camouflage ability enabling him to easily get close to his enemies, but if his venom is depleted, he has to resort to using his claws, which is not bad in any way, but it lacked the strength that an attack like a strong bite to the neck can offer him.
And besides, he will be able to eat faster with a larger mouth and stronger and sharper teeth, he might even be able to eat their hides and minimize wasting bionutrients. Also with his body now getting twice as big as before, he could fit much more into his stomach compared to before.
'Come to think of it, no matter how I think about it, isn't it impossible for me to eat a whole wolf with my current body size? Where did all the meat go?'
'Most of what the host eats is directly converted to bionutrients, but the conversion rate is not 100% hence why host is still able to feel full after eating.' the system suddenly answered.
'That explains a lot of things, thank you system.'
'Now let's see if I got enough bionutrients to get that wolf head package.'
Matthew clicked on the wolf's head on the list and along with it, the nose and the ears are also included, but not the eyes and teeth. Matthew then added the full set of teeth and now on his 3D hologram, he could see a giant wolf head is attached to a chameleon body disproportionately.
'H*ll no, I'm not making my body look like that!' Matthew then adjusted the wolf's head to be smaller to synchronize it with his body size so that he doesn't look like a horrendous monster.
Although a chameleon with a wolf body is what Matthew would clearly define as a monster, but at least, with they're in a proportionate size, it's much more aesthetically pleasing to look at.
After correcting his head size, Matthew also removed the furs and skin and changed them to be the same as his old head and the rest of the skin on his body since his camouflage ability depended on them, if Matthew kept the furs, his camouflage will only work on his body and making it seems like a wolf head is floating on its own, which is good if Matthew was in a horror movie, but he is not in one so he decided to convert the furs back to his original skin type.
Matthew also decided to keep his chameleon's tongue and eyes even on his wolf's head. It's a no-brainer that he kept his tongue since what's making him a chameleon are his tongue and his skin color-changing abilities, without them, Matthew couldn't proudly proclaim himself to be a chameleon. As for his eyes, Matthew really liked the chameleon's 360 degrees view and he wanted to keep them. But just in case he missed something, he asked the system,
'System, is there anything that the wolf's eyes are more advanced at compared to my current eyes?'
'Host's current eyes are superior in a lot of aspects such as the depth-perception and host's ability to see 360 degrees, but the wolf's eyes have better night vision than the host's current eyes.'
So far, the night in the forest is not pitch black due to the moon and stars giving adequate lighting and Matthew's eyes are still capable to operate properly in that condition, but if he went into caves or places that didn't have any lighting in them, Matthew will be greatly in a disadvantageous position if he encountered any enemies. Matthew then asked the system,
'System, can I only take the body parts that enabled the wolf to have night vision?'
'Yes.'
Before Matthew was able to ask how, a notification box appeared in front of him,
-Does Host want to spend 15 bionutrients to add tapetum lucidum to host's current eyes?-
-Yes/No-
'Huh?' Matthew froze for a second when seeing a weird thing was about to be added to his eyes, but after remembering his request to the system earlier, he finally said, 'Yes, please.'
Now that he finished customizing his new head, Matthew scrolled the wolf body parts list to see if there is anything interesting. And after asking the system, he decided to also replace his chameleon claws with the wolf's claws that are longer, tougher, and sharper compared to his claws even post evolution.
He also considered if he should add a second stomach so that he will be able to eat more, but he decided to not add it since his body will be twice as big as before and after knowing that a lot of what he eats is being converted to bionutrients and more importantly, he didn't know if his current bionutrients is enough for adding another huge organ.
Matthew looked at the right bottom corner of the special evolution tab and the total price of bionutrients that he needed to pay is written there, and while glancing at it, Matthew could see a 4-digits number. He then closed his eyes, then prepared himself for the numbers that he was about to see, then he opened his eyes again then looked at the real amount, which is 1470 bionutrients.
Looking at the number, Matthew could only sigh in relief since he got enough bionutrients for the upgrade, but it also hurt him slightly after all his hard work eating all those animals were gone in just a few clicks. And if he didn't shrink the wolf's head, it might even cost him more than that.
But his sadness only remains for a moment as he remembers that after this, he will have a wolf's mouth, a wolf's claws, a stronger and longer tongue, and the thing he wanted the most, his aura ability.
And with that, Matthew confirmed his decisions and told the system that he is done.
-Are you sure you want to spend 1470 bionutrients in exchange for wolf's teeth, wolf's head, and wolf's claws?-
'Yes!'
