The hexagonal barrier should have healed on its own even though there was only one mage left that kept supplying the barrier with mana albeit the speed will be significantly slower, but the orange aura came into play and wreaked havoc in the structure of the hexagonal barrier, not even a millimeter of the hole that Matthew created with his aura blade was regenerated.
And with a casual swing downward with his aura blade, the hexagonal barrier tore open, making a hole large enough that Matthew could walk out of it.
