With Matthew taking most of the human's army and the commander's focus, the trolls were able to regroup themselves as the troll army which consists of the troll guards and the troll mages all had gone back inside the village, pushing back the human archers back to the human's line since they won't be in a good spot if the troll guards decided to rush straight towards them.
And with the threat of the human archers gone and the army went back inside the village, they were able to quickly pick up the rubles from the initial earth dome, evacuated the injured trolls, and more importantly, rebuilt their defense against the humans' ranged attacks.
With at least a dozen ordinary troll mages and 3 other elder troll mages, Trolgar was able to swiftly fix the village and regained the stability of the situation as the fight between the trolls and the humans went back to square zero.
