Chapter 2 - Personnel Record # 1 - Sect Master Stone Hammer (2)

Who am I?

What am I?

Why am I here?

These were the thoughts that went through the spirit's mind. Ever since he was born from the rock these were the things he pondered while staying with the flourishing community. For each passing day, the spirit grew stronger every time a hammer is used.

Days passed and the spirit grew stronger still. It did not only fed on the use of the hammer but also for every hammer made. As the community grew, uses of the hammer became varied which added to the strength of the spirit. It was satisfied of its growth along the growth of the community until one day.

The community was bustling that day. Every member was busy with doing tasks. However, the spirit did not gain any strength every time the hammer is used. The spirit did not know what was going on and did not mind that time. It continued to wander around the community. It stayed.

It continued to stay hundreds of days but its strength never improved while the community developed and became bigger. The youth that made the hammer has now become old. The man continued to teach young ones how to make hammers and every time it was done the spirit was there hovering. Even if it was not able to get strength from the process, it continued to stay around. Until, the youth, now old, died.

The spirit decided to wander beyond the community. It went one direction and continued for days. It flew forward for days and days. Then, just suddenly, it felt a pull. It did not mind it at first but as the days continued, the tug became stronger and stronger. The, one day, it just realized that the direction it was following was where the pull was the strongest.

It encountered a very large community. At first glance, there were structure made of trees and leaves where humans get in and out. It also saw hammers, but much larger, not just to smash fruits but also to pound tree trunks into the ground to build these structures. In that instant, it felt a surge of strength.

It now felt stronger, more intelligent. Immediately it changed his form into a human. Although it could fly, it decided to walk among them. He walked towards a group of men pounding tree trunks, grunted at them, picked up a hammer and joined in on the pounding.

The sun rose and set, and he continued to interact with humans. The communities grew and developed even further. The structures called houses improved. Now, instead of wood, stone is used. The communities now called villages grew larger by every sunrise. New ideas and innovations also came into reality as new people came. New things called tools gave him more strength, more wisdom and more power with each use.

He learned to harness his newfound strength and power. He helped people build houses. He helped build fences. He help break rocks. He learned to make new tools and found out that the tools he made were better than ones humans made He made more and gave them to those who worked hard and those whose tools easily break because of continuous use. Because his tools were more durable, more people came to him asking for his creations.

He continued to create tools as the sun rose and set. He continued to supply the village with the tools they needed. He continued to do so until one fateful day.

A man and his mate, a woman, he called her, came into the village. They looked tired but even in their tired state; they looked better, more beautiful than the rest of the people in the village. They looked around, as if looking for something. The pair found their way to his small house.

Strange sounds came from the man's mouth. The woman had a happy expression on her face when they saw him. He did not understand what they were doing. He just looked at them and waited. This prompted a confused expression from the man. He looked at the woman and the woman produced some sounds towards the man. The man suddenly, ran up to him, held his hands and a bright light erupted.

Images flooded his mind. Things, sceneries and other knowledge flooded into his consciousness. As these flowed into him. He realized that these were knowledge and experiences coming from the man. He did not resist the influx and accepted everything.

"Do you understand me now?" the man said.

He nodded.

"How do you feel?" the woman said.

"I feel different. But in a good way." He said.

"That is good."

The man and woman smiled as he relished the new feeling. The woman talked after a few moment.

"I am Marble Pestle and he is Light Ink. How do we address you?" The woman asked.

He thought for some time. Looking for the perfect name for himself.

"I am Stone Hammer." Then the world shook.
