I woke up in my bed again, no longer surprised that I urgently needed to go to the bathroom.
While I was doing the biggest shit of my life, I pondered to myself.
Why even though I didn't want to quit the game, did it force a shutdown?
Nadia told me that I could quit when I wanted, but I didn't think the game would shut down right then.
Maybe the headset's sensors detected that my body couldn't take it anymore and rejected me.
My cell phone started ringing during this incredible scene of me on the dumb toilet thinking with my eyes looking into space.
At first, I was also scared, since I hadn't received a call for so long that I forgot about their existence.
I took my cell phone and replied: << Good morning, here Kleinn Übert. Who am I talking to? >>
<< Holy God thank you, you finally took this fucking cell phone in your hand! >>
<< But how dare you talk to me like that?! >>
<< Kleinn, I'm Carl moron! Is it possible that you don't recognize me anymore? >>
<< Ahh, and tell me immediately that it is you! What do I know! >>
<< You seem to me all smoked honestly, thank goodness that at least you're alive. I haven't been able to contact you for two weeks >>
So it was two weeks while I was playing? How did my body resist?
<< Listen Kleinn, are you sure you're okay? Do you want me to spend a moment with you? >>
<< Nah, do not worry Carl. I'm fine >>
<< I'm sorry to say but it does not seem to me! >>
Well, he wasn't all wrong. Carl is a good friend of mine and I understand his concern.
<< Ah and okay. If you want tonight we can go somewhere so I'll explain a little bit of everything >>
<< It suits me, we meet at the "Borchardt"? >>
<< Yes, I'm there at 8 pm >>
<< Okay, see you there >>
After this, Carl hung up the phone.

During the afternoon I noticed that I smelled awful and the bed was even worse.
So I tidied up my room and took a long, long shower.
After that, I dressed up and went to Borchardt, a bar with some outdoor seating, where I saw Carl looking at me from afar with a worried look.
I sat down and told him: << And here I am after a long time >>
<< Finally I would say! So, tell me what the fuck happened to you >>
We talked for about 2 hours where I told him all the "bloody adventures" I did while playing "Road to Glory".
He was ecstatic, to say the least: << But this game seems very cool, hearing you talk made me want to buy it >>
<< Look, I don't think that's the case. It's not a game for the faint of heart >>
<< What would you insinuate bastard? So by now, you have made me want too much, you can be sure that I will buy it >>
Now there was no way to make him change his mind, he still hasn't realized that that game is not just a "simple" game.
After ordering something, we parted ways and went home.
I'm not going to get that viewer back for at least a week, so I also have a chance to do some research (as usual).
Afternoon of July 3 - 2035 - Berlin - Kleinn |
I don't even know why I'm taking the viewer back in my hand, maybe it's curiosity, maybe it's the desire to finish a game that I had already started.
The fact is that once again I took the viewer, put it on my head and lay down on the bed.
