Leaving Marin to ponder over her past actions, the three elders stepped out of the room without waiting for another second.

However, Trip, who had arrived a while ago coughed before bowing his head.
"Three Elders, the King has asked you to wait until he can complete his meal." He explained in kinder words but the implication was the same as what the King had said earlier.
Since the three Elders wished to meet the people of the East Wing first, they should stay there for longer before coming to greet him.
Since Trip did not wish to lose his life by repeating the exact words, he chose a milder path to relay the message his King had asked him to deliver.
The Elders shook their heads at the same time upon understanding what the King wanted from them.
