Coming out of the second memory which had been triggered, allowing Reina to witness the creation of the secret pathway, her mind then returned to the one before it.
The image of Rein standing before the end of the passage with a dagger in her hand which she had used to create the portal had now shifted to Rein hunched over and vomiting on the green grass.
This was the initial memory that Reina had obtained so she now concentrated on it to learn more about her predecessor.
As she continued watching, Rein finally stopped struggling after a few minutes and raised her head, staring at the bright sky above her.
She did not stick around for long to admire this breathtaking scene as she had seen it a few times already.
Soon after she regained her steady breathing pattern, she strode further into the dense woods which she had entered through the help of the magic portal at the end of the secret pathway.
The passage's mechanisms would activate only when Rein touched the wall and later only her presence could open the magic portal she had installed with the dagger earlier.
Now Reina was able to grasp why her predecessor had to empty the contents of her stomach onto the ground.
The portal she entered brought her to a different location but that wasn't the cause of her queasy sensations.
The flux of magic that encompassed anyone who walked through the portal was so great that it felt as though a person's insides had been put through the blender.
Rein's stomach would knot and tumble all over in just that brief second needed to step from one side of the portal to the other.
Therefore, the moment her feet landed on the grassy ground of the woods, she would be unable to stay composed any longer.
Different people had different types of reactions after using a portal and for Rein, it was the unnatural and unbearable nauseating sensation that would stop only after she emptied her stomach's contents onto the ground.
Even if she ate nothing on the days she visited this secret pathway, her stomach would heave and fold until she threw up even her stomach's acidic fluids.
Only once she had done that would she be able to carry on with her tasks.
Thus, Reina watched her predecessor complete this step without blinking an eye and even went ahead to another place, not bothering to be fixated on the embarrassing experience she just had to endure.
Rein walked for about an hour with the heavy luggage strapped to her back but she did it with ease which impressed the one who was reliving these memories.
While she walked further into the woods, she neither came across any wild beasts nor any human or other species that coexisted in this Kingdom.
The entire woods seemed deserted and she was the only one who was around.
Reina widened her eyes, looking at the place where her predecessor's feet came to a halt.
She then went on to gawk at the wooden cottage Rein had arrived at in the middle of nowhere.
'How could she call it a cottage?' She guffawed at the name Rein used to refer to that wooden structure in her memories.
It wasn't as big as the mansions Rein had passed through during her trip to that deserted town corner where her secret passage was located but it most certainly wasn't small enough to be called a mere cottage.
'That's almost as big as Tanya's beachfront house!' She exclaimed while observing the simple but vast building before her, resembling the size of her elder sister's house in the previous world.
Reina did not know why her predecessor was here but she could only wait to gather more information from these strange events she was watching right now.
As she was trying to decipher the meaning of Rein's actions and the reason for her arrival to this place, she caught sight of the cross-dressing lady walking up to the front porch of the 'wooden cottage'.
She fished out a key which she inserted into the keyhole and with a slight click, the door was unlocked.
The interiors immediately lit up when she stepped inside and Reina was impressed to see just how minimalistic yet efficient the decor of this place was.
A staircase that led both to a top floor and even the basement was at the end of the house and everything that one would need was right here.
Tossing her luggage onto the large couch, Rein headed upstairs and indulged in a warm bath in the bedroom she found there.
'Water heating magic stones?' Reina exclaimed when she saw how Rein had heated the water in seconds before soaking in it.
She had already seen an ice stone used for refrigerating purposes and even a fire stone for the stoves.
However, she had not yet seen this heat stone as her bathroom in the Palace of Valanthur always had warm water coming straight out of the tap.
The entire Palace's heated water came from a different source where heat stones were already utilized.
Hence this was her first time seeing one being used before her eyes.
While Reina marveled at the new place, glancing around like an excited child, Rein completed her bath and headed straight to bed.
The moment her head touched the pillow, Reina snapped out of the memory which had now come to an end.
Opening her eyes, she sighed as now the view was that of the bedroom she lived in, right next to the King's chambers.
Though the memory had come to an end, the information associated with it was continuing to pour into her mind.
It only took her a couple of seconds to assimilate these vast pieces of information she gained and after she grasped the very last bit of it, her eyes widened at what she had learned just now.
'My period is next month!?' She gasped at the shocking news and panicked about what she needed to do to make sure that her secret wasn't exposed.
