Mary got up and went to the window to look down at the streets.
Warren City was flooded. The water levels were high and there were signs of flood damage already.
In this situation, helicopters couldn't get in and they couldn't drive out; it seemed that they were trapped here.
Fortunately, they were staying in a place on much higher ground.
Mary looked back at the group. "I think we might need to buy some more supplies." She said.
Monroe finally looked at her. "What do you think?" He asked.
He was not looking at her at all!
Mary felt a little angry. She looked at Adela. "Kayaks, rain gear, generators, water bottles and... we had better get a yacht!"
If there was heavy rain for the next week, they would be trapped here for at least a week!
Mary had to prepare for the worst.
Monroe felt a little unhappy when she avoided his eyes.
