He blitzed through the city, land, and forest in a blur of lightning, leaving behind long trails of craters in his wake.
*crrreeeaaak.... crash*
Trees were felled, coming down to the earth with a loud crash, but the boy did not care. He needed to find that animal, and fast.
Or else he would never forgive himself.
He ran and ran till evening turned to twilight. He searched everywhere, every nook and cranny, toppled every stone needed to be upturned, but he did not find the cub.
And he felt his insides burn with fiery regret, the only thought running in his mind how he failed to save the little animal.
"Damn it all!"
He punched the soil ground repeatedly in frustration, his mind running out of ideas and thinking of the worst possible outcome.
Beads of sweat clung to his forehead, and his eyes blazed with a fury he had not felt in a long time. The situation wasn't just making him pissed, it was causing tension to rise within him.
