The gushing blur that swept past his face was exceedingly pleasant. It had been a while since he felt this rush, a rush that felt fulfilling like something worth his while. It made his skin prickle with excitement, adrenaline he had not felt in what appeared to be a long time, not after the events of the Min-ji village.

His mother had never mentioned that he had an uncle, or any relative out there for that matter. He was sure she had her reasons, and just perhaps, it was possible she didn't know of his wellbeing. She had left years ago after all. But knowing his mother, no doubt she must have silently worried about him over the years, carrying the burden of abandoning her only brother, the man who took care of her in place of her parents.
