The walk was long and cold. With the tips of our noses turning red, we stand between a set of bushes Twenty feet before us sits the gun shed that only I can enter.
"So, who wants to be the butt monkey and drink my blood to see if they can pass through the barrier?" I ask the five people standing behind me.
They each throw glances at one another when Isaac slowly raises his hand.
"I feel like it would be best for me to go first just in case your blood reacts differently this time," Isaac explains as he steps forward.
Holding a small knife in my hand, I slice the palm of my hand. The blood quickly seeps through my skin dripping onto the snow-covered ground.
...No matter how many times I do this, it still hurts like hell…
