The Kingdom of Kindred is the farthest kingdom from the Northern Country, so it took a lot longer for news of the snow's disappearance in the North to reach the king's ear. The king, who is the Autumn Vessel, was curious to know how the North is going to handle the life after death in the country, so he sent several groups of teenagers to gather information on the Northern Country and its leader.
