The next morning came as soon as the night left. The crowd of volunteers in front of City Hall wait anxiously as they talk of what kind of lives they could live in the newly rebuilt royal capital.
"Does it look like the whole city is here?" Xander asks as he guides me over to the front door.
"Of course not. They wouldn't abandon the city and leave it vulnerable," I answer, walking onto the stage.
I purposely made it to where the city leaders couldn't leave Eshea so that there are still people here who can run and protect the city since I'm no longer living here. I already knew that they would have jumped up and left in a heartbeat so that they can put their feet in the royal capital first and monopolize everything, but I already have a few leaders in mind who I wouldn't mind monopolizing things for me.
