Men have a sense of pride in their strength in that they don't to be questioned whether or not if one person is stronger than the other. There is a mutual understanding that if men start to compare strength with their peers, it will result in either a yelling match or a fist fight, and neither are productive nor proving a point. However, when there is a woman inserted into the mix, the rules change.
"Miss Viola, are you sure about this? I don't want you to get hurt."
"I'll be just fine. I'm quite confident in my strength, so you just have to come at me with everything you got."
Word spread like wildfire in the village that I will be testing the sub-group leaders' strengths. With a mixture of excitement and concern, everyone gathers around the large empty field to watch me fight.
"Viola, I will immediately stop the fight if I feel as if you are too injured to continue or your condition will affect the baby," Isaac comments from the sidelines next to Michael.
