The tickling sensation of a cat's whiskers combined with the weight of a seven year old child on my chest creates an unpleasant awakening.
"I'm so sorry, Lady Viola," Grania quickly apologizes as she rushes through my door. "I was getting them ready when they remembered that today is Saturday. Neither Billy nor I were fast enough to stop them from running out of the room."
Finally awake, I sit up on the bed with Lily and Lucas on my lap. "It's fine, Grania. They are very lively kids, so you're bound to have them slip through you every once in a while." I look down at the eager children on my bed, and all I could do is laugh and shake my head. " I'm going to keep my promise and take you to Candy Dome. Don't think that I forgot. I'm going to go into the forest first since I have something to do. After lunch, we will go together to Candy Dome. Okay?"
