Chapter 1 - A chill.

In the room where Bei had been locked up for fourteen seasons and three moons, there was a great chill. This chill wasn't unlike the one felt during the winter. This fact was surprising, as the winter had long passed. Even more surprising was the fact that the chill came from that particular room, where the forbidden teenager was imprisoned. Worried, the guards fidgeted nervously as a report was made to the elders on the strange occurrence.

Worried, the guards fidgeted nervously as a report was made to the elders on the strange occurrence. It was also the weakest of the five, although they did possess the largest territory, a polar region which they called, 'The Circle'.

The 'forbidden teenager' who the clan had locked up not long after his birth was Bei. The Water Clan was a close-knit clan, but their kindness and magnanimously apparently didn't extend to him.

Naturally, there was a history to his unfortunate isolation. As it turned out, his mother,Kabria was the only daughter of the king. She had travelled away from the kingdom, to the 'outside world' as the clansmen called it. She wanted to gain experience, to see what lay beyond the five clans and their dumb rivalry. Her father was against it. She went against his wish and ran off. Seven seasons later, she came back to the clan with a bulging belly.

Her father, King Alem, was furious. He angrily demanded to know the man responsible. Kabria didn't utter a single word, and just kept mute.

The king wasn't pacified, but he let things be. Two months passed quickly, and she went into labor. She gave birth, but the baby emitted a frigid cold chill when he was born. Kabria froze to death.

The chill the king's daughter had died from was the same chill that was being felt from that damn room.

After he was weaned and became capable of fending for himself, the king placed him under house arrest, under the care of a nanny. He was locked up in a hidden space, which housed the specially constructed secret library.

Naturally, since the secret realm wasn't open for public access, no one had ever seen the boy. The secret space was a micro world of its own, with fresh water and growing vegetation and aquatic creatures, so they were naturally able to fend for themselves. Granny Genele took good care of the boy and made sure he had a proper upbringing.

Right now, at the Royal palace, King Alem was in a meeting with the seven grand elders.

"What shall we do now, my king?" One of the elders asked.

The aged king stroked his gray beard and looked around the room absent mindedly. He didn't give a reply instantly.

The elders naturally understood that he was thinking. Prior to the moment, they had had a brief discussion, so this was the time for the king's verdict.

The majority of the elders wanted to conduct an investigation, but they were well aware of the king's past order to isolate his grandson. When it came to matters like grief, it was always difficult to see things in the right sense, so while they understood the King's insensible order, they didn't quite agree with it. Either way, none of them had spoken up when the toddler was put in the care of the nanny and confined to the secret realm.

The King's bleak eyes refocused, and his eyebrows furrowed, exuding an aura of majesty.

"Release them from the secret realm." He ordered quietly.
