[A year after the war]
Adeline was lying down on her bed and was recalling the time that she had spent with Niylah and Ramon.
Those two-year-olds had become so cute and mischievous that Adeline sometimes envied her brother and her sister-in-law.
"It must be a great feeling to see your little ones grow in front of your eyes. I wish I could have what they have. Soon."
She closed her eyes and longingly whispered, "I want to meet my daughter… I want to hold her in my arms, cuddle her, and shower her with kisses. I want to provide everything that the world has to offer to my child."
Adeline let out a sigh of despair and wondered, "It's already been a year since I made that wish. So why haven't I conceived yet? Or did he forget about his promise? I sure hope that's not the case."
