Alex POV
Piper, went to the bathroom to wash her face. I am getting dressed. The sex was very intense and I needed that to release all the build up tension in my body. I was so stressed from planning this party.
I went to the mirror and I saw the hickey Piper did and my hair is all over the place. I comb my hair and smoothen my clothes. I tried to hide the hickey but it's still showing.
They're all probably wondering where we are.
"Babe, are you done?". I call for Piper.
"Yes Babe, I'll be there". She called back.
Piper, got out of the bathroom looking fresh again and we head out the door.
I open the glass door and Nicky, is right outside. She looked at us and grin.
"Are they looking for us?". Piper, asked Nicky.
"Yes, they have been wondering where you two are. Where have you been?".
"I was... um...I mean we were just-" Piper stuttered
"Hanging out". I blurted. Damn! That was a lame excuse.
"Yeah, so I heard". She teased
"Are we that loud? Oh god!". Piper, said embarrassed.
"Not really, I went inside to check on you guys and that's when I heard". She informed us.
"Why do you think I'm guarding here outside?". She raised her eyebrows.
"Hey Callie!". She shouted.
"You can come inside, you can use the bathroom now!". Nicky, said and retreated back to the party.
Me and Piper looked at each other and giggle.
I made small talks to Piper's family. Piper, grew up in a rich household. Her grandfather owns a bunch of different businesses and her father own an accounting firm.
Me on the other hand, have nothing to be proud of. I grew up poor, my mom has to work multiple jobs just to raised me. I can't even find a decent job because of my background. I am nothing compared to, Piper. Let alone ask her to marry me.
I feel like I'm hyperventilating so I excused myself and went inside the house. I sat on the sofa to calm myself down.
Everybody was having a good time so they wouldn't notice I was gone. Nicky, is such a delight. She keep everyone entertained.
A few minutes passed and I heard the glass door open.
"Alex?". Piper called
"I'm here". I waved my hand at her.
"Are you okay? What are you doing here?". She asked looking concerned.
"I'm alright, I just need a minute away from there". I said letting her know.
"Why, what's wrong? Tell me". She said very concern now. She put her hand under my face to force me to look at her.
"Tell me".
"It's just your family. You have a perfect family, Piper. And I can't compete to that". I explained.
"Hey, nobody is competing here. And my family is far from perfect. You know what I mean and you know that." She tried to explain. "Where's all these coming from?" Her eyes brow scrunching together.
"I can't give you a life that you deserve. A life that you used to grow up to. Piper, I grew up poor and right now even if I can find a job it won't be enough". I said frustrated.
"I'm afraid that one day you will realize that this is not the life you wanted and that you want more and you decide to leave me". I started crying.
"Oh Alex, come here". Piper, said pulling me towards her and gave me a hug. "I have everything I ever wanted right here".
"Back in prison I realized I don't need a lot of things in my life to make me happy. All I had was you and I'm perfectly fine. I was happy. You made me happy. So don't ever think that I'm leaving you. Being here with me is all I ever want from you. Nothing else. Just be here for me". Piper, reminded me.
She holds my face and wipe my tears with her hand.
"I love you so much, Alex Vause".
Then she lean over and kissed me.
Piper's POV
I pull my face away from Alex and she move closer to me and buried her face in my neck. I just hold my wife until she calm down.
Alex, is tough. All these years she keep building these walls around her higher and higher. She's doing that to keep herself from being hurt and I can't blame her. She has been through so much. I left her once. But I would never do that again.
I am the only one she trust enough that sometimes she let those walls fall apart. Alex, may have a tough exterior but she's very vulnerable inside.
Alex is also good at reading people and she is very perceptive. She keeps to herself most of the time, although she isn't afraid to fight back if provoked.
"I'm always here for you, Alex". I reminder her.
Just then my phone ring. I took it out of my pocket and it's Lexie.
"Hello, Lex".
"Hey Piper, the delivery guys will be there in a couple minutes". Lexie informed me.
"Okay, perfect timing. I'll meet them outside. Thank you so much, Lexie".
"Who's Lexie?". Alex asked curious.
"Come with me, I have a surprise for you". I pulled my wife from the couch.
I opened the front door and drag her outside.
"What are we doing here?". Alex asked wondering.
"You'll see". I said and I winked at her.
After a minute a brand new shiny crimson car stopped in front of us followed by another car.
The hot tall Asian guy step out of Alex's new car. Smiled at me and walked toward us.
"Who's that?". Alex asked curiously.
"Shhh.. Surprise". I told Alex.
"Hello, Miss Chapman".
"Oh! just call me, Piper".
"Piper, My name is Chris".
"I'm here to deliver your new car". He said proudly.
"Thank you, Chris". I said beaming at him.
"It's good to see you again". He blurted out.
"Oh, right". I said, not knowing what else to say. 'This is awkward' I thought to myself.
"I want to take you to dinner tomorrow". He said pompously.
I was taken aback and my mouth literally dropped open.
Wow! This guy is so full of himself. He didn't even bother asking me if I want to go out with him.
I look at Alex, and she was trying so hard not to laugh. She's probably laughing at my face. I gave her a look that says "save me".
She cleared her throat.
"We'll take it from here, Chris". She said sternly.
Chris, just looked at Alex annoyed, and then back to me.
"I'll pick you up 7 pm tomorrow then". Chris, said proudly again.
"Okay go, just go. You're making my wife uncomfortable". Alex, said impatiently.
She glare at him and she has that "don't mess with me" look on her face. Alex, can be very intimidating if she wants to. I like how she can easily morphed into all-business like, Alex.
Sure, Chris is taller than her, but knowing Alex? she won't turn down a good fight. She can sucker-punch him in the nose right into his brain.
"I'm very sorry. I didn't me-...". He started to say but Alex, cut him off.
"Jesus fucking Christ! are you dumb? just leave already and if you try and flirt with my wife again? I'll fucking beat you". Alex warned.
"Yup she will". I agreed.
He turn around and walk away fast.
"What the hell just happened? Did you see that? That fucking guy is so arrogant". I said after the guy left.
"I guess you have an admirer". Alex said playfully. I roll my eyes at her.
"Come here". I pull her toward the new car. "Surprise!! This is for you". I said beaming at her
I saw Alex's eyes widen.
"No, seriously?. You're not really joking?. Oh my god, Piper!. Thank you!".
Alex, pull my face and kissed me hard on my lips.
