She put her glasses on while walking along with the crowd. The married couple just arrived at the airport. She insisted on passing through the portal there to make it look like they just arrived from Okayama. She knows they are waiting for them at the arrival area and a wide smile formed on her lips when she saw them approaching. The engaged couple welcomed them back and she showed them the huge paper bag full of goodies. She held on to him gently when her vision suddenly got blurry.
"What's wrong?" He asked but she shook her head and smiled at him. Leaving the underworld is making her comfortable. She is not yet used to having dark powers.
She kept on holding onto him until they got inside the car. She looked around and she felt relieved when everything was clear again. She is a little scared that she might go back on being blind again. The engaged couple cleaned the house for them and she felt nostalgic when they arrived. Knowing that the property is under Gia's name already, she is not worried anymore if her parents will try to take it away from her. The two women stayed in the living room while the two men went to the garden with cans of beer.
"How's your father?" Riku asked before taking a sip from his beer can. Sho smiled and took a deep sigh. Hiding their identities from other people is a little tough but they are used to it now.
"My sister went home and he got his chance to play with his grandchildren." He answered but in a low voice since they can hear the two women approaching.
He felt a hug from behind and when he turned around, he saw his wife smiling at him. He noticed the small cloudy spots on her eyes. He cupped her cheeks and furrowed his brows while staring at it. She should not turn blind anymore since she is no longer a human. He quickly carried her in his arms and she automatically lost consciousness. This made the engaged couple worried but he assured them that she is just tired from the trip. He carefully laid her down on the couch. He knelt beside her and ran his thumbs on her temples down to her jawline.
The moment she opened her eyes, it was already dark outside. She looked around and saw no one. She checked herself and realized that she was wearing a pure white dress. She sat up slowly and tried to absorb the silence around her. She doesn't like this kind of situation, so she stood up to look for her husband. She turned the lights on and she fell on the floor when she saw a tall figure standing in front of her.
"Fuyu." It's a man's voice. He took steps forward and she covered her ears and shut her eyes. She started trembling in fear and she almost screamed when he placed his hand on top of her head.
"Fuyu, it's me. I'm your brother, Makoto." He said softly and she took deep breaths to calm down. She opened her eyes once more and tears fell from it when she saw his face clearly.
"Brother." She cried softly, hugging him tightly. He smiled and hugged her back. He carried her in his arms and walked in his room where Sho stayed in before.
"I never thought that I would see you again, Fuyu." She cried more when he said that. She longed for him. She longed for her real family. If she just can bring back the past, she will do her best to save them from that tragic accident.
"Stay with me, Brother. Stay with me, please?" She tightens her hug but he can't do what she is wishing for. He kissed her forehead and wiped her tears.
"I can't, Fuyu. You need to stay with your husband. I can visit you again but I don't know when it will be." She shook her head and held tight on him. She doesn't want to let go of him anymore. She doesn't want to feel alone anymore.
"Makoto, where will you go?" She asked when he started to disappear. He released her from his hug and stood up. A pair of white wings appeared behind him and he smiled.
"I need to go back there now. I'll see you again, Fuyu." He left one more kiss on her forehead and she closed her eyes. When she opened it again, she was all alone again.
"Fuyu, love. Fuyu?" She heard another voice and she sat up on the couch while sweating and panting heavily. She focused her eyes on the person in front of her and hugged him tight.
"Love, I dreamt of my brother. I dreamt of Makoto. He visited me in my dreams." Tears poured out of her eyes again and he hugged her back. He kissed her temples a few more times.
"He loves you so much. He misses you so much." He whispered and she buried her face on his chest. His words are always comforting her.
A few minutes later, she finally stopped crying. He wiped her tears and she smiled softly. She is thankful that she can see him clearly. She gently pecked his lips and he handed her a glass of water. She snuggled closer to him while drinking. She remembered that her twin brother said that he will visit her again and she believes that he will never forget about it. She placed the empty glass on the coffee table and she heard a noise from the kitchen.
"Are you okay now?" Gia asked and she nodded her head while smiling. She was unconscious for some hours. The married couple went to the kitchen to join them for dinner.
"I'll cook tomorrow for us." She said and the engaged couple got a long list of requests that they made within the year that the married couple were away from Tokyo.
