The Ears Keep was located at the edge of the capital, near the outskirt settlements, far from the bustling city that never slept, hidden in plain sight. While the sun was already setting, Aiden climbed out of the carriage upon its halt, the smell of the grasslands welcoming him as he was greeted by the guards on duty.
"Good day, my lord" the two uniformed men greeted him, closely followed by Michi who stayed a few steps behind him.
"The others have not seen you in a while since after the northern war so I'm sure they'll be quite elated at your presence today, my lord" Michi commented as he pushed open the main door of the ears' keep, the indistinct chatter of his peers growing louder, "they've all been waiting for your arrival" Michi informed him.
"Hmm, I'm sure they have" he said, stepping into the entrance hall that was soon filled with his men as they gathered around him.
