Pink streams of light shone through the glass as the sun was slowly withdrawing behind the clouds by the time they left the temple. They began their long journey back home as the carriage rattled through the isolated areas and passed the lush grasslands, which were sprinkled with white-yellow wildflowers, reaching the bright bustling capital they were used to. Hina had decided to keep the tales of her brief encounter with Aiden to herself, not even revealing it to Suki yet, as she struggled to understand this tickling feeling deep in her stomach.
By the time they arrived home, the day was long gone and Hina was beyond exhausted, overtaken by the sleep that weighed down on her eyes.
