Spring in the Capital was a revelation to Hina. The weather was usually warm and sunny in that nice soothing way. Even when it rained, it was not really cold, although the temperature at night could sometimes plunge; she knew that from sleeping with her windows open one too many times and getting an earful from Suki.
It had rained quite hard the night before, roaring on the roofs, keeping her awake while she sipped on some hot tea until the storm had passed. The morning had dawned and through the window, she saw shafts of the morning sunlight splintering through a thick layer of white clouds.
