Aiden set off to find Hina the minute he departed from the imperial palace. The early morning visit to the palace and the stream of conversations had his thoughts jumbled into a complicated mess that he tried to dismiss.

That had been the Prince's words yet the way he looked at Aiden as he spoke was jarring. There was a different truth hidden behind those shaky golden eyes that Aiden could not shake off and he didn't like it.
"Is something bothering you? Perhaps, did the Emperor query you over the incident regarding the Viscount's punishments?" Michi inquired worriedly. He had had a sleepless night over this summoning.
"No, it's nothing like that…" he mumbled, shaking off the thought as he hoped that his worries were not true.
