Aiden had pushed back some of his duties by a day or two. A deliberate attempt he had made to buy some time so that he could see Hina again. Given the recent events that had happened in the palace, he was understandably wary about being so far away from her for days, unable to keep watch to ensure that she would be safe.
However, his retainer had been on his neck on the case, urging him to commence his journey to the western provinces as soon as possible. Despite begrudgingly, Aiden had made up his mind to leave for the West tonight but first, he had to stop by one last place before his departure.
Having snuck in once, the second time was much easier as he slid through the night, right under the guards' nose, camouflaged by the darkness. Finding her room light still on, he could tell that she was awake as he reached her familiar balcony. Just as he was about to knock on the door, the handle flew open and he came face to face with Hina.
